Israel faces tough challenge in dealing with missile atta...

Of course it really doesn't matter who started it. People on both sides are committed to a course of action that will benefit none.  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #38)

No, he tells one side of the story. He tells the Israeli side. Which is the case with the media in the United States anyway. The American pub lic is fully aware of the mortars and other methods used against the Israelis by the certain elements inside of the Palestinian territories. We don't hear about death and destruction from such attacks because they rarely any. According to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there were a total 2580 Israelis killed from 1920-1999, in the area that now makes up the state of Israel. An additional 1154 have been killed since 2000. The Palestinians lost over 4200 between 2000-and 2006 alone (this is a very conservative estimate).  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #36)

You moron. The bourgeoisies are the pharmaceutical companies, corporate tyrants, and private property owners. You know the ones that are causing people to flip out and go on shooting sprees (you've made this claim in previous posts).  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #1738)

Don't weaken national park gun rules

Readers should make note of who it is thats asking the questions. The same individual supposedly knew more about the subject matter than anyone else in his previous posts. Readers should also note that the current firearms regulations apply to all guns. For more information readers should consult the NPS: http://www.rangerf op.com/gunhistory. htm  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #107)

Readers should note that a National Preserve is not a National Park. Each is governed by different regulations and generally utilized for different purposes.  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #104)

Don't weaken national park gun rules

Readers should note that I have posted links to articles referencing the proposed rules changes. I am fully aware that the regulations would be left to the states. This would effectively end the parks ban on loaded weapons in parks. Further, as stated previously, the rule changes would not apply solely to CCW permit holders.  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #98)

I'm opposed to any changes that lessen the ability, or authority of the NPS to manage our parks and the resources of our parks.  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #97)

Readers should note that the officer shot at a snake in a tree, not at the water. The proper course of action would have been to leave the snake alone. It would have gone on about its business, and that young boy would still be alive and fishing with his grandfather.  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #90)

Don't weaken national park gun rules

Readers should note that the proposal in question, does not pertain solely to CCW permit holders, and would instead allow all gun owners to carry their loaded weapons into our National Parks.  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #88)

Don't weaken national park gun rules

NOBLE, Oklahoma (AP) -- A police officer shooting at a snake apparently killed a 5-year-old boy who was fishing at a nearby pond, officials said. Austin Haley was fishing with his grandfather, Jack Tracy, when Tracy said he heard a shot and saw something hit the water just a few feet in front of the boat dock where he was standing. Moments later, a second shot hit Austin in the head. http://www.cnn.com /2007/US/08/06/boy .killed.ap/index.h tml GUNSHOWONTHENET's reply: That's LIFE [email protected] It's NOT up to you, the park service or our government to determine when and how We The People can defend ourselves, got it? Readers should note that many of the above posters will claim to only be concerned with protecting the innocent. They will often use tragic and emotional events to sway readers to their point of view. Unfortunately, most of them care little for protecting the innocent, and are anything but compassionate. The followign exchange is a prime example: #1716 SlickMr 1 hr ago What happens when inexperienced outdoorsm en try to take care of "problematic " wildlife. http://www.cnn.com /2007/US/08/06/boy .killed.a... http://www.tulsawo rld.com/news/artic le.aspx... Fed targets credit crisis | NEWS | Asheville CITIZEN

The crazy thing to think about is what things would have been like minus all of those super low interest rates. At times the only thing the economy had going for it was real estate. The Bush administration has done nothing other than offering sweet heart deals for band aids.  (Mar 17, 2008 | post #12)
