How often do you pick up after your pet on walks?
Thanks Heather. I'll check these out and pass it along to my friend. The ones she purchased are biodegradable but she doesn't care too much for them. (Apr 18, 2008 | post #19)
What's the best dog food out there??
I use Call of the Wild, Salmon. I have a dog who has allergies and it definitely helped clear up his itchies. They do offer other varieties, also no corn, wheat, etc... I pay $20 for 15lbs. Talk to your vet about Omega 3 (fish oil) and using Head and Shoulders. Usually you wouldn't bathe a dog in human shampoo but my vet recommended it because of the allergies and seborrhea. Congrats!! How often do you pick up after your pet on walks?
I only have a problem with one neighbor. She walks her dog several times a day because she has no yard of her own. She lets her dog go anywhere it wants to. She doesn't let her dog go on my property anymore after I said something to her about it but she still doesn't pick up in the field next to me. I have more of a problem with the cats in my neighborhood. If I had woods near me I probably wouldn't pick up either. Has anyone tried the biodegradable bags? If so is there a better brand then others? A friend of mine was wondering and I have never used those kind. (Apr 16, 2008 | post #17)
How often do you pick up after your pet on walks?
Sounds like a stupid question but too often I see pet owners let their animals soil on someone else's property and just leave it there. No reason for this seeing how even the grocery stores carry pet waste disposal products now. I myself just use my grocery store bags instead. (Apr 10, 2008 | post #1)
I think everyone has gotten what they wanted to off their chests. Now how about some dog talk. (Apr 8, 2008 | post #281)
I couldn't have said it better myself. I am a PROUD/RESPONSIBLE owner of 3 APBT's and would much rather discuss dogs then how so and so should go f**k themselves. Behaving like this is not going to help our beloved breed. (Mar 31, 2008 | post #259)
"I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess."
Talk about off track... They were just commenting on the fact that they enjoy the program. Who are you to judge what kind of animal they choose to own? (Mar 30, 2008 | post #5)
Thank you and you are right, there is an abundance of bad pet owners. I groom animals with bad pet owners daily. Identifying a pitbull mix can be difficult even for those of us who work with animals as well as pitbull enthusiast. (Mar 23, 2008 | post #234)
There are plenty of good Pit Bull owners! I am and I have other friends who own Pits and are also good pit bull owners. Take a look at my posts about trouble licensing dogs. (Mar 16, 2008 | post #207)
My dog won't eat. I need advice. HELP!!
I'm sure he is feeling under the weather but his appetite should have picked up by now. Best thing for him to do is rest. If I were you I would contact my vet! Good Luck, poor baby! (Mar 14, 2008 | post #44)
"Tobybones " Yes, "he" is mine, guess away! I want banthebastards to guess, he thinks he is so smart. I'm willing to bet he wouldn't know a pitbull if one bit him on the ass! Can't wait to hear everyone's guess, it should be quite interesting! He's a cutie! What a face on him, makes ya wanna play snuggle puppy. lol (Mar 11, 2008 | post #188)

Check out Canidae dog food, grain free and many choices of flavors. I would also check into Evo. Hope this helps. (Mar 8, 2008 | post #5)
Like Joni mentioned make sure you research this. If your dog has allergies it's not good to feed him ground beef. Beef is a common allergen in dogs. Soy is also a common allergen. Also watch the amount of sodium they eat. Has your dog been treated for allergies in the past? Maybe you should have the dog food paneled? I also have a dog with allergies. Going from food to food is also not a good thing to do. This alone could contribute to a fussy eater or allergies. Your dog will eat when he is hungry, he will not starve himself if food is available. I also went thru this, and felt bad that my dog didn't eat like I thought he should even talked to the vet several times. Have you considered trying A Taste of the Wild, salmon formula? No grains, just salmon and sweet potatoes. My allergy dog and 2 others w/out allergies have been on it for months with wonderful results. My male who used to be picky is no longer picky and the ear/skin infections have decreased. Check it out, when trying new foods you will not notice a different for at least 6-8 weeks. An open letter to pit bull-defenders
Thank You! I rescued her from our local shelter when I worked there. She was a wonderful companion for our family for 13 yrs. I had to put her down in Aug. she was 16yrs old. We miss her very much. How about some more pictures of your dogs? Would love to see some! (Mar 6, 2008 | post #7)
