Oh that's hillarious, like incredibly hillarious. You reply to me with trivial trash, talking about how you don't want to read MY trivial trash. It's funny your comment about my posts on Topix amount to the same complaint I had about the Sentinel. Except you can help control the content here by posting intelligent fodder. But instead, you reply to useless trash WITH useless trash. Brilliant! Well played good troll. *golf clap*  (Jan 22, 2008 | post #22)

The only void is where I tried to use the sentinel for toilet paper. I suppose Freddie Mercury would be the best to ask about getting rich off filling THAT void. I'm just sad that I get a piece of junk mailed to me every week that isn't worth the paper it's printed on. My interest in local news will go to a real news source.  (Jan 21, 2008 | post #17)

I've never had a problem with Chez Robert, but I also don't go when it's busy. Welcome to capitalism. If you don't like the food/service/envir onment, go somewhere else.  (Jan 20, 2008 | post #48)

Nothing new here. Online sex offender registries have been around for a few years. I'm not sure why stupid trolls can't just say "Hey, check out if there are any sex offenders near you". Instead, you just post a link.  (Jan 20, 2008 | post #4)

Ya know, it wouldn't surprise me... With the quality of thinking in our administration... That our city mayor, city manager, and police chief would use it as a Police substation.  (Jan 20, 2008 | post #20)

The bats in the belfry fly at midnight, in the pale moonlight. You really need to include a super-secret-squir rel decoder ring if you're going to use secret codes and special messages that don't mean anything to people.  (Jan 20, 2008 | post #12)

I guess the SOCIAL costs will be $8.00 per ticket, eh? eh? Good news for the shores. Another business ALLOWED to move forward. Whee! Now if we can only find valid businesses to fill the other 150 vacant, dilapidated buildings in SCS.  (Jan 20, 2008 | post #64)

Really, take some time while you're unemployed and work on your writing. Yeah, it might detract from your campaign against Mel, but you might be able to get a cogent point across.  (Jan 20, 2008 | post #11)

Can't do the homework when NoMore doesn't want to say which agency to submit the FOIA to. Considering it's such a simple question, and NoMore has posted comments since Dec 27th, it's safe to say he has nothing. Rumor and inuendo.  (Jan 20, 2008 | post #9)

Ron Paultard is a libertarian, which is fine. But ask yourself - how is he going to accomplish any of his plans, like eliminating the Dept. of Education? Sure, he's got a perfect voting record on the issues. But has he been able to get anyone to vote like him? He can't build up a concensus of people to his cause in the House or Senate. How is he going to do this as President? Oh, that's right. He'll just veto everything and shutdown government entirely - "while normal people continue to go about their daily business" (paraphrased). Now, me personally, I don't think that's effective. I ask myself - what happens to our country? Blam, no more social security checks. What happens to college students, when their stafford loans don't get sent to colleges? If there's no budget and no allocation, do we have air traffic controllers to monitor flights? And we can't forget the Paultard activists - they claim they're for personal rights, unless it's Sean Hannity or Fox News. Paultard activists want to revoke their freedom of speech because they disagree with Ru Paul. And finally, Ru Paul sees violations of the constitution everywhere. The War in Iraq? Violation of the constitution. Bases in Germany, Korea and Okinawa? Violations. The FAA? A violation of the constution. He might know his stuff when it comes to banking, but having 20 years of congressional experience has taught him nothing about the constitution.  (Jan 20, 2008 | post #31)

I like this argument... "if there is a lack of stories it is usually because of a lack of news." That's why the Macomb Daily can fill up a bigger rag with stories, on a daily basis? Oh well. Thanks everyone for validating my point - the Sentinel isn't worth the paper it's printed on. I can handily throw it away without opening it.  (Jan 20, 2008 | post #9)

That's funny, my old posts used to show up as being from "Columbus, OH". Now they show up as being from "Roseville, MI". Some of these comments were before I registered the name for myself. And for those who still care about who supports Bush or not, let's be realistic. The war in Iraq cost America $130billion last year. Over four years, it's barely $600billion. The rest of the national budget for 2007 was 2.8 trillion... The war was only 4.6% of federal spending. So when you want to say "oh my, we could have spent that money on national healthcare".. . you have to answer to me why the other 95.4% of the budget wasn't spent on national healthcare. Or maybe you're a Ron Paultard, and claiming that the country has to print extra money to pay for the $130bn... Except last year's "deficit " was $540bn... we spent $410bn on other things - which we had to print money to cover. And you know what? That $410 billion in deficit spending didn't pay for nationalized healthcare, either. So pull out all the links to huffington and opinionjournal.com - because you can't defend your own irrational line of thinking; you have to have someone else do it for you.  (Jan 19, 2008 | post #27)

Ya know, I actually agree with River here. Julie Snyder (don't know this "Snyens" you refer to) does know an awful lot. She's really great. If only she could put some of it in the newspaper, ya know? Just because a reporter, herself, is smart doesn't mean the newspaper is worth reading. And lately the rag isn't even useful as toilet paper, let alone a newspaper. Considering the amount of piss and vinegar in your response, River, and the number of claims on your part (no guts or names, topics are jokes), that you can't get the reporter's name correct or use your own real name. Ah well, trolls of the world, Unite!  (Jan 19, 2008 | post #6)

Boy that Sentinel is rough on the hiney, and it doesn't flush very well. But other than toilet paper and charcoal tinder... I don't know what other purposes to put it. The Sentinel had a couple of great "Letters to the Editor". I'm glad one of our local high schoolers is succeeding as a congressional page... but a big story in this week's paper? Seniors are becoming computer savvy! Can we bring "paper-hats " back into fashion? We certainly can't do any reporting or investigating into the crime in St. Clair Shores. Nope. Sentinel can't see what's going on with this neighborhood watch fiasco. CIA will be an important issue facing the city for years. County Executive program on the ballot in May? No word. I think it's time to subscribe to the Macomb Daily for my news, and ask the Demers to take me off their mailing list.  (Jan 18, 2008 | post #1)
