How to get correct pain management for adhesions!

Hey I am new to this site but I am sure there are more people in my situation and interested in feedback! A year and a half ago my ob did (what a found out later by a specialist to be an unnessasary) partial hysterectomy due to heavy bleeding and horrible cramps. Anyways that doc put me thru HELL. He kept telling me the pain was in my head (after the hysterectomy the pain took a turn for the worse). He eventually sent me to MAPS...which was a complete joke they treated me like a criminal. Last April I ended up having emergency surgery due to a large cyst in my left ovary. The surgery was suppose to be laparoscopic but when the doc went in the adhesions were so thick he had to cut me open AGAIN. Had I not had the emergency surgery it prob would've been fatal within 3 mo. Well the pain from adhesions are back and due to the hell I went through I am having the hardest time keeping my pain under control. My PD has me on a handful of precoset each month yet each month I run out and with the stigma behind narcotics I get stuck for at least a week with NOTHING. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the amount of meds increased or any tips on controlling the pain related to adhesions? Unfortunately with adhesions the only cure is surgery to remove them but every surgery causes MORE adhesions! Thank you!  (Oct 25, 2013 | post #1)
