Should they shut the Dip Dog stand down?

Sooooo you think it's too far of a drive and that upsets you and for that reason it should be shut down? So what you're saying is no dip dog is better than being in your car for 10 or 15 mins (MAYBE 20) to get them??? Because there location is not fair to everyone??? Right. That makes complete sense.  (Aug 24, 2012 | post #12)

Is City Police doing anything?

I know this is old but you can't be serious, right???? YOU'RE the one who used incorrect grammar. Your: Shows possession. Example: That is YOUR mistake, not his. You're: A conjunction. Two words joined to form one- you and are. Any time you see an apostrophe (that's this little symbol ') in a word, you will know that it means two words have been joined to form one word. Example: Like I said, YOU'RE the one who made the mistake, not him. Or also read as YOU ARE the one who made the mistake, not him. This is YOUR grammar lesson for the day. Now YOU'RE going to be able to use these two words correctly. YOU'RE welcome.  (Apr 22, 2012 | post #15)

New Business In Marion

Would you mind giving credit on the photos to the photographer who took them that are already posted and take the Majestic Arts watermark off the ones that do not belong to that business? You can't put a watermark on someone else's photo- even if you state that you didn't take it and are just selling it for the person. I have a friend who sells prints in about 8 different stores and has them regularly printed in travel magazines. Credit is fully given to him and the seller does not put their watermark on them. You yourself just said that some of the photos were NOT taken by the owner of Majestic Arts. There's your merit for my argument. And for the reference, never once did I say the owner sold any of the photos. I said in both posts "passing them off as her own". All that means is taking credit for doing the work. Never, ever accused anyone of selling the photos and making money off of them. I also never said that you don't have permission to edit and sell some of the photos you do have, I don't know that for a fact. But there are other things I do know for a fact. If you would take your watermark off of photos that don't belong to Majestic Arts and list a photography business name to the rightful artist, I wouldn't be so upset. As long as I know someone else's hard work and talent is being passed off as another person's that it doesn't belong to, it's not the end of the discussion.  (Jul 19, 2011 | post #13)

New Business In Marion

If you're talking about me being wrong.. Ummm no I'm not. Not even in the least. As a matter of fact, I personally helped in letting a photographer know that her photograph was stolen. Another photo that is posted on the Facebook page has a watermark of someone else on it. The same photo is posted on the official website to be sold with part of the watermark cropped off but a little remained and then Majestic Arts watermark across the middle. Also, another portrait of a little girl is posted in EXTREMELY low resolution which makes the quality of that picture shown on the web really, really awful. I haven't found that photo on another site yet, but my guess is someone else took that photo and posted it in very, very low resolution so if someone copied it, it would show up really bad. No photographer would post a photo of that poor quality in order to promote their business. A question I have though...is why can't we see the album on the official website that is of a family member (or at least they have the same last name)? The only album that we can be sure the person actually took the photos...we can't see the pictures. I kinda got the feeling that they aren't quite the same level as all the ones being sold so that's why it's locked. Just my opinion.  (Jul 19, 2011 | post #11)

I'm just putting this out there as a warning. Please do not submit your photos to Majestic Arts. I don't know who exactly is the owner but at least one of the persons involved has been CAUGHT stealing others' photography and passing it off as her own. Someone ELSE'S watermark on "your" photo says it all right there. A quick search of many of the images and you will pull them up on someone ELSE'S website. As a real photographer, this infuriates me!!! One of the persons claims that she edits the pictures. Well, even if you do edit the picture...that does NOT make it yours and doesn't give you the right to claim that you spent all of the time learning how HARD photography is and studying light conditions for that particular photo and waiting until just the right moment to take the photo. Knowing how to use Photoshop does not make you a photographer. And if you find some of the images on some one else's page when you search, you'll see that "she" didn't even edit them...she pulled them off of the internet that way. I'll stop here because it sickens me and I could go on for hours about how WRONG, WRONG, WRONG it is!!!!  (Jul 19, 2011 | post #8)
