Taiwan's unresolved status is getting growing attention i...

Actually things are not quite that bad for Taiwan. The UN does actually recognise the rights of Taiwan to self determination. This is written into the Constitution. The problem is the UN had to appese China by pretending to disregard Taiwans claim to independance. Not very difference to Taiwans rights to be represented at the Olympics really (a fake name change and their in). Anyway at the UN 41 countries have aggreed to stand up for Taiwan in every session since China joined. They continue to declare this support every year in what we call "None Member State Hearings". China, North Korea and Russias are banned from this as they oppose the existance of the session due to it's support for Tibetan independance. I attended this session last year and it was good to see all the free countries of the World offering support to countries with lesser political might.  (Jan 8, 2013 | post #1341)

RayHole is a full time state sponsored political spammer, you will see his crap all over the place. Fortunately not on any of the Chinese language sites though. He has only picked up a few words of Cantonese from his underage girlfriend (12 years old I believe).  (Dec 25, 2012 | post #449)

CHINA DUSTBOWL Rapidly Growing!

I hope your right about that. We see Guangxi getting greener too, mostly as a consequance of more effort by what we call here "Greener Guangxi". Unfortunately this has been hindered somewhat by government sponsored land theft to support corruption and the pockets of CCP officials. But our farmers continue to fight this illegality and are getting more organised now.  (Dec 25, 2012 | post #30)

CHINA DUSTBOWL Rapidly Growing!

No need to check the weather. 46 degrees here yesterday and looks like it's getting warmer. I suppose it's freezing up in the dust bowl.  (Dec 24, 2012 | post #26)

CHINA DUSTBOWL Rapidly Growing!

THere is a shortage of green paint in China ever since the CCP had all that grass in Beijing painted to cover up the pollutants.  (Dec 23, 2012 | post #13)

China Surpasses US To Become World's #1 Economy in 2010

Yes you are telling the truth. However, I can't aggree that gold reserves doesn't mean much when it was a major topic of the recent finance summit in Beijing. Xie Xuren said it himsels, and I quote: "We must put a halt to these extravagant showpiece investments and begin to stabilise our economy by putting money back into our gold reserve" You may think that countries like France and Italy are over a cliff but compare their third sector economy with China's and you will see they are ahead of China by a factor of $19.77 US per capita. The only western country that China is ahead of across all market and financial sectors is Greece. But even that said, Greece has a far more advanced socio economic structure than China. China has got too many great things to boast about without pretending to be ahead of the World in every sence. Our government can produce as many fake financial figures as it wants but that doesn't make our schools earthquake proof, or our rural communities any more vibrant.  (Dec 23, 2012 | post #20)

China Surpasses US To Become World's #1 Economy in 2010

Actually China is currently in 4th position and headind for 5th position fast. You see because China has no independant audit system, no figures the CCP publish can be cross reference. However, the World Bank can come up with some pretty accurate figures based on all sorts of criteria, such as gold reserves.  (Dec 23, 2012 | post #17)

CCP STOOGE Jackie Chan says GULAG for Hong Kong people!

Oh you like him too? Did you read his book? I was a little worried about his hidden references to paedophilia. Ah but what the hell, whatever turns him on eh? I think he is awfully cleaver trying to get in league with the CCP now they are making noises about wanting to expose wealth. He must be worried shitless about his tax avoidance scams now. But I am sure if he greases the right palms in the CCP he will get away with it. Although the US tax-man may have a few questions.  (Dec 23, 2012 | post #93)
