To treat eczema: 1 part Urtica Dioica leaves (stinging nettle) 1 part figwort 1 part red clover Pulverise the plants. Steep them in a pint of boiled rennet. (Rennet is the watery liquid left under soured milk after the curds are removed) Cover and let set to room temp. Add 1/8 cup Lanolin and shake well. Dab on irritated skin with a flannel or soft cloth. Avoid getting in the eyes. Keep in the fridge. --Alternatively the dried leaves alone can be steeped in water and drank as a tea three times daily. Wish you well.  (May 23, 2014 | post #41)

Psoriasis

There is an old, very old country remedy. It is supposed to work on birthmarks and almost any skin ailment or irritation. It restores moisture and a youthful glow to the skin. It has been said that it even fades scars. Problem is, it is not a commercial blend. You have to collect the ingredients and brew it up yourself. If you are serious, and want to ask, I will be happy to try and find the recipe for you. :-)  (May 22, 2014 | post #27)

When you look out your window, what do you see?

Mostly sleet with a bit of snow. A miserably cold, icy & wet day.  (Feb 2, 2014 | post #1834)

What's the easiest way to give a dog his pill

This wasn't posted when I answered above... Spirit, I don't think those rawhides are for eating. They are for teething. That may be what the problem is. Check to see if it was from China...no telling what chemicals were used on it. I do hope that is not the problem, but better to be safe than worried. :-)  (Feb 2, 2014 | post #28)
