Shen an Calhar Profile
I think we do affect the rate of global warming and that between the loss of the temperate rain forests, the thawing of the permafrost and the potential for the stopping of the Atlantic current...we may of already passed a point where we can do much of anything to stop it... (Jan 11, 2009 | post #1955)
Even more officers won't keep NN safe...to much youth and gang violence. On this cop...police are people and some of them will break the law, just hopefully not as many as people in the general poplutation. (Jan 11, 2009 | post #4)
Black or White I give them about a 99% chance of ending up in Hell... thinking that whatever time they spend in prison might be a little taste of what they did to the kid... (Jan 11, 2009 | post #8)
Guess that would work out except for the number of people they (The Innocent Project) have shown to be wrongfully convicted and had released, some on death row. Evidence used in most of them was DNA...shown that they were not the criminal and also showing in some cases that the police and prosecutors hid information showing they were not guilty. Otherwise, if they have the right person, then put them down. Just don't make mistakes when they are convicted... (Nov 29, 2008 | post #59)
If he has not investigated the same number of Republican voters or white voters...would it be called discrimination? Seems like it would...In some states individuals are not supposed to question others right to vote, it is suppose to be particular state officials, I don't know how NM is organized - but I would wonder if this is on the up and up. (Oct 29, 2008 | post #81)
I wouldn't wish her to be VP...but got to hand it to anyone who is able to become mayor and then govenor of a state. Little bit much for her right now for VP, but I think she has done well getting to where she is now. Think they picked someone out a little too quick for a running mate for McCain. Hope it won't mess her up in running for govenor again. (Oct 23, 2008 | post #3872)
"According to the search warrant, the door of the New Kent home was repeatedly kicked until it opened, but then slammed shut by someone inside. It was kicked opened again and there were two gunshots." ----------------- Too bad they got to the point of trying to break into someones house and using guns to...? kill someone inside? maybe if girls were inside probably raped them too? Won't know now. Should of taken the hint when they kicked in the door and they had it slammed shut on them. They kicked it open again and then got shot. 2 shots? I would of emptied on them and there would of been more than one down. It probably was not his first break-in or robbery...certainl y his last. Hope it scares the other kids straight. Feel sorry for the family he had that might of really cared for him, like his grandparents maybe? (Oct 23, 2008 | post #39)
At last - a fitting charge. He'll get old and sick before he is ever out of there. (Oct 8, 2008 | post #17)
So, did he just want to go back to jail or something like that? (Sep 12, 2008 | post #1)
Considering that rapists usually are repeat offenders - when they get them behind bars they should keep them there until they are 80 years old or dead, which ever comes first. (Aug 9, 2008 | post #26)
Really? And what were the reasons that a 47 year old man held down a 12 year old while his mother punched him in the face and stomped on his head, not to forget using the belt on him? I see people already mentioned that it'll happen to him again if this couple get out and get the child returned. I would also wonder what type of medical care he is getting? If they beat him like this, might they just not as likely skip treatments or visits to the doctors or not give him medications or something he is suppose to get? Kid needs a better place - and yes, the couple need treatment too (along with jail time). (Jul 28, 2008 | post #53)
Few things to add to the list they put out - a good fire extinguisher, good locks on your doors and windows (all the dangers at home don't come from inside). (Jul 20, 2008 | post #1)
Seems like if they took her purse after she dropped it trying to get away from them beating her (and child?) and then kept it - took checks out of it and what everelse was in it - and then passed forged checks --- sounds like a robbery to me. Mugging by a gang. (Jul 20, 2008 | post #212)
>>>Nan--- David Nicol---Alison< << Nice information, thanks for puting it out, would of been nice to get some of that information in the story itself, but then it would not of been 'a story about wasteful gov't spending' I suppose. Thanks again. (why does my ISP bounce all over so much?) (Jul 20, 2008 | post #48)
Well, if they got a million dollars for the trails, then they just spent almost 1/5 of it on a 20 foot bridge? Looks like a nice bridge though, solid and lots of space. Just seems like a lot of money for something that could of been a bit less solid - maybe a gaint concrete culvert and then pave the top of it - a lot cheaper. (Jul 20, 2008 | post #47)
