Stanhope School Never Ceases to Amaze the Town

Every post on here is a valid one. Certain people in certain places feel they are more priveledged than others which shouldn't be the case. We should care about the welfare of the children and not about everyone else, but it is hard to do that when the BOE just slaps you in the face all the time... Parents do need to spend more tine at school and truly see what goes on and who gets special treatment. All the children are equal and should be treated as such. As for hiding behind names, everyone should stop it. Use your name, what's going to happen? NOTHING. We are all concerned parents and our focus is on the children. Granted we do not like the decisions that are made at the school but no one voted Gina out... No one ran against her and since I do not care for her, I didn't even vote for her even though she ran unopposed. This school needs to get its head on its shoulders and start doing right by the children.  (Dec 19, 2012 | post #42)

People really need to get things that are important in order in our district. Affairs... failing daycares... think of the children here.. not only mine but yours and how this news of this affair is hurting all 7 of your kids. Those children are going to suffer the most. Take your affairs elsewhere and resign from the BOE. While you are at, have Gina resign too.  (Dec 6, 2012 | post #24)

Board meeting Wed Aug 17 2011

This school has been a true disappointment the past couple of years. B/w supers & principals coming in & out, its out of control. There is absolutely no stability for these children. Unfortunately, the kids are being affected by all this nonsense. We shouldnt make them suffer. As for Gina, I personally, do not care for her. I have gone head to head with her & she can not give a straight forward answer to ANYTHING. She makes you think she cares about the children, but coming from a family w/ a child w/ a disability, she has shown me no concern at all. I have no problem stating who I am & what I dont like about this school. If it were in my means, I would move out of this district to another one, that actually takes the children into consideration. Not this school, by all means!!!! We need to come together as a community & go to these board meetings & make this school a better place. I am sick & tired of this school acting like a revolving door for administration. This has gone on long enough, its time for BOE to start owning up & answering questions. I for one, have no problem going head to head w/ anyone that sits on the BOE, especially Gina. When she showed no oconcern for my son when I addressed an issue, thats when I wrote her off. As a parent of a chld w/ a disability,, if I do not see a significant improvement in this program, my son will be pulled out & sent to an out of district school under the school budget. This school has tried to screw my son one too many times & now its time to get the gloves on if needed. I have already went to the state about this school & their poor handling of this program. If they want to know how the program is running, maybe it would be a good idea for BOE to sit in the classroom for a bit & see what each child struggles with on a daily basis. But of course, our president wouldnt have time to do that, would she! Michelle O - Stanhope  (Sep 1, 2011 | post #40)
