More Layoffs In Huntington

Huntington is no different than any other city across these United States. Those who have Power rule. Those who are given Power (by our votes) rule. Judge Heffelfinger CANNOT go outside of Law and impose sentence. If I stood before him to be sentenced for a crime I committed, he CANNOT, for whatever reason, punish me MORE than the law allows. Common Sense tells me that there's NO WAY I'm going do anything illegal so that I don't end up before a judge, any judge! Have you purchased drugs Judge Heffelfinger's brother? Have you filed a complaint with the police department that you purchased the drugs and who you were able to purchase them? I have been back in this town for almost 10 years and I have heard more about the Judge and his brother than I care to even acknowledge. We all know, when one is in the public eye, their life is looked at through a magnifying glass. And, everyone lies! If this is the worst that happens in Huntington then I'd say this is probably the best place to call home. I know it is for me.  (Feb 16, 2010 | post #3)

Health Care - Huntington, IN

I am a woman, 51 years old, lived in two states, on prescription blood pressure medications since 19, and been down on my luck a couple of times. Everyone has been there once or twice in their life. I have never gone without health care! I had a prescription card that I paid $7.95 a month and got a discount on my prescriptions. I received medical care at the county (largest in South Carolina) free clinic with a copay of a couple bucks. And they had samples so I wouldn't have to buy a full prescription if the drug wasn't working. When I came back to Indiana, I did well for 4-5 years then lost my job due to the economy, and lost my insurance! Huntington has the Huntington County Free Health Clinic, thank God and the wonderful donations given to the clinic! One has to hunt for the care because it doesn't waste money on advertising. Granted, there are hitches and drawbacks, but that's how life is. You get what you pay for, win some lose some, but you still have someone that has your medical information and will do their best to keep you alive while you're going through yet another bad time in your life. I can live with those odds if it means less government control in our lives. I have.  (Feb 6, 2010 | post #7)

Huntington Holiday Cut Backs

Lots of money problems here. I'm just saying that a Merry Christmas wreath shouldn't be lit on January 2nd no matter who's paying for it if one is trying to save money. If funding the wreath is a personal enjoyment I say go ahead, light 'er up! LOL!  (Feb 6, 2010 | post #3)

Finding a doctor in Huntington

I have, and love, Dr. Tina Lawson! I don't know of any male doctors, sorry. Good luck on the quest.  (Feb 6, 2010 | post #2)

Huntington Holiday Cut Backs

I noticed, on January 2, 2010, that the big Merry Christmas wreath in the park was still lit. Wonder how much that cost.  (Jan 5, 2010 | post #1)

Health Care - Huntington, IN

The government can't even run the post office or any other damn thing so how on earth can they accomplish something good from taking over health care??  (Jan 5, 2010 | post #5)
