I disagree on this. And I quote from Mr. Mot Nguoi Viet's research: In my opinion, extremism in any form runs counter to what the Shakyamuni Buddha taught. Experience has taught me that political movements of all forms-- even those whose agendas seem in keeping with the spirit of loving kindness-- can have a tendency to cultivate a form of zealousness in their adherents that seems well removed and deviated from the middle way and psychologically unhealthy. I myself try to shy away from any form of activism, preferring instead to make my impact through the choices I make in my day to day activities." And thus I would say that the Shakyamuni Buddha has never formed any political movement because he was awaken and has risen above all the worldly issue of politics. True followers of Buddha Sasana would never do that due to the respect of their wise teacher, Shakyamuni Buddha and will never engage in any forms of political movements. We show compassion to others instead. Kind regards  (Sep 17, 2007 | post #648)

Rise Vietnam Flag

The French do have this diet. They have consumed mold in their cheese for several centuries. So do the Danes and the Americans. Blue cheese, cheese with blue mold, are sold virtually anywhere in America in any big box grocery store like Albertson or specialty like Trader Joe's. Kind regards  (Sep 17, 2007 | post #154)

Mr Ryan Boston:-)) You are not the first one to experience Mr LV's "debating skill". He is one of a kind "debater ". Kind regards  (Sep 17, 2007 | post #153)

VNCH= Coward terrorists.

Ms Vietsky I wonder if VCTerminator would be kind to decipher these scripts whether they are Chinese or Nom for everyone. I think most folks here would be curious to learn what these mean. http://photokia.co m/gallery2/v/trave l/landscape/hanoi/ _MG_5317.jpg.html? g2_enterAlbum=0 Kind regards  (Sep 17, 2007 | post #115)

Ms Vietsky I have no problem with that. Kind regards  (Sep 17, 2007 | post #114)

Did you live back then to ascertain that the Vietnam's flag during that period has a yellow background? Vietnamese historical records had been twisted or misrecorded by the Chinese invasion and very likely not very reliable. Besides, without proper documentation to substantiate the notion that our national flag during that period had a yellow background. History needs a double entry accounting, meaning looking at both ends of an issue. The yellow flag with 3 stripes was a flag designed by Mr. Tran Trong Kim, a historian and also a high ranking official serving the Bao Dai's administration. It is very reasonable to say that the old country during a century of the French invasion has to honor the French flag rather than Vietnamese flag. The French even taught the Vietnamese this phrase that my old man still remembers "The ancestors of the Vietnamese are the Gauloises." If the French ruled the old country, would they let the students honor that yellow flag with 3 stripes instead of the French flag. The American flag of course would never be allowed by the British colonists to be honored during the colonial time. And thus it is common sense and it suffices to say that the yellow flag with 3 red stripes was designed during the World War II when the Japanese facist army invaded and of course for propaganda purposes the Japanese would promote Mr. Tran Trong Kim as the legitimate PM of the old country during that period. Viet Music, Your Favorite Song? Favorite Singer?

Mr. Doi Thoai :-)) Interestingly, there are folks who are way too sharp to understand something simple that even a silly guy like me would understand. Just my silly opinion sir, but I listen to almost anything these days, vocal, jazz, classical, pop scores, rock, and even rap:-)) Kind regards  (Sep 14, 2007 | post #17)

Mr. Mot Nguoi Viet:-)) I think some people have no idea that respect is something that they have to work harder to earn. Of course, when people confuse knowledge as wisdom, they lack "dan tri" as well:-)) Kind regards  (Sep 7, 2007 | post #395)

Hi Ryan 1/ The tax code for "non profit organization" written by Congress was outdated and needs to be revised continuously. Well, Mark Twain has once said that "It could be shown by facts and figures that there is no distinctly American criminal class except Congress." and this I agree with him. If it makes sense, then it is not tax law:-)) 2/ Well, at least we are still better off than the Mexicans where the top 4% of the population own 90% of their nation wealth. Statistically, we are doing okay:-)) 3/ The people who draft the golden parachute for CEO are lawyers and labor market economists. They simply inadvertently add a few zeroes too many to the salaries of the CEOs:-)) It is called the privilege of having several friends at the higher places:-)) Kind regards  (Sep 7, 2007 | post #244)

Finally, a voice of reason:-)) Politicians have been known for "not wasting tax dollar" but politicians have been known for "not spending tax revenue wisely and appropriately ":-)) If I remember correctly, the Greek root of politician means "wise people or sages". So much for that wisdom...:-)) That is why I don't want to talk politics in America because it does nothing but divides the people and burns the tax revenue at a rate that is second to none in the world. The administration has collected the money really fast but the politicians have always burned the tax revenues even faster. Kind regards  (Sep 4, 2007 | post #59)

There are draw backs in California, traffic is the worst in the world, the 405, the 5, the 91, the 710, the 110, the 60, the 10, and the 101 could turn into parking lots any second any day:-)) Excise tax on fuel and energy are higher in California than that of other states. Housing prices in California is hardly the most affordable for both living and investment. I paid $1,600 for my monthly lease but I don't complain because I do not have to deal with snow. It is very expensive to live in California but I love it here. I can enjoy Korean and Vietnamese food both in the cities where I work and live. It is balmy but it is not humid. I hope you understand what I am trying to get at. Kind regards  (Sep 4, 2007 | post #58)

Ms Vietsky The reason California is the world 7th largest economy is because of its wonderful weather, its population (most populated state in the union), and it has an extensive junior college network. New York is the most wealthy city back East because it has always been the world financial center. The capital is not necessarily the most wealthy city in the nation. This happens in several other countries like Germany, Spain, Canada, China, and India. This is nothing of extraordinary magnitude. Kind regards  (Sep 4, 2007 | post #57)
