Gay Marriage - Hayesville, NC

Angry and resentful towards Christains? No, I am a Christian. But I don't judge others for their sins, I know enough to know that is NOT my place or my right to do so. A hypocrite likes to tell someone to live one way, yet they live the opposite of what they preach. By your posts on here you have proven yourself to be one hateful and judgemental human being, in GOD's eyes that sin is just as bad as being gay. I don't dispute that homesexuality is a sin, it says so in the bible and all that jazz, but what I do dispute is treating someone who is gay with less respect than they way you would treat someone who isn't. YOu bashed me all to hell and back over my first post, accused me of being gay, even accused me of being one of those fast little high school girls that was going down on the sherrifs deputies on the town square. Which btw- I wasn't that girl, but to justify my self to you isn't really necessary. I know exactly who I am and what I am about, I am not a slut, I am not gay, and I am not a judgemental "christian " who thinks it's okay, to make fun of someone who is gay or damn them to hell for their sins. Everyone has a story, and everyone has their sin. It's not up to me or YOU to determine who or what they need to be saved from. You don't sound like a very nice person to me at all. I bet your against interacial marriages too, huh. How would you feel if your daughter came home with a black man? Would that be better than being gay?  (Dec 6, 2010 | post #36)

Fedup, I say "Dumb Hillbillies" cause that is exactly what the people on this thread sound like with their closed minded opinions. And I know exactly how you all live in those mountains, I use to live there with ya. I know it's nothing for 30 year old men to lay down ith 14 year old girls. Or for the town deputy to get a little of a high school girl on the town square at night. I know all about the self serving hypocrites who live there and like to to condemn anyone who doesn't live by what they percieve to the be GOd's way, yet they have now qualms pointing their fingers in judgement while they do their own dirt daily. Yea, I know all about the lifestyles in those mountains, and trust me you all are no closer to God then us "city folk". In fact hiding behind him to do your own evil couldn't take you further away from the lord. Yet you wanna preach to gays on what's right and what's wrong. I say sweep under your own door mat first. Educate your children, love people despite their sins, and pay attention to what really matters. There are so much worse things in this world than two gay men or women playing house with one another. Who are you to determine someone else's personal relationship with God? If a man dies in his sin is that so unusual? Straight Christians die in their own sin daily. Pray for them too. Btw- I am not gay, but I am human and I love people despite what sins they possess because people love me despite my own. My calling you a dumb hillbilly should be just as much of an insult as you telling any gay man or woman that they will surely burn in hell for their lifestyles, you haven't a clue what will send each of us to hell or what won't. Be a true Christian and love people no matter what.  (Dec 3, 2010 | post #25)

Dumb hillbillies! If a two men live together as a couple of years, build a home together, work together to accumilate a savings and retirement plan, then in the end for all legal rights they should be able to marry. Everyone likes to use verses of the bible to back up their own ignorances. However, I don't see anyone here quoting where it says that every sin is equal and they only sin that will keep you from the kingdom of heaven is the blasphemy of the lord our GOD. Gluttony, adultery, lies, passing judgement....all sin and no worse than two men or women living together as a couple. The same man that swears it's wrong to be gay is probably sleeping with his brother's wife as I type....ha...funny, self serving hypocrites...stagnate Hayesville, NC as ever before.  (Dec 2, 2010 | post #22)

Don't Forget Christopher

Every day when my little girl asks me if she can go outside and play...I think about you. You have helped me to be a better mother, I am more aware of the evil's in this world now because of your sacrifice. I think of you often Christopher. I take some satisfaction in knowing that the monsters/animals that hurt you will now have to wait in anticipation, that now they have to live the rest of their lives in prison, knowing from each day to the next that they will die at another humans hands. I hope that instills as much fear into them as they did you.  (Nov 1, 2010 | post #676)

Judge Denies Retrial For Boy's Killer David Edenfield Sentenced To Death For Killing 6-Year-Old Christopher Barrios POSTED: Friday, October 29, 2010 UPDATED: 12:57 pm EDT October 29, 2010 EmailPrint David Edenfield showed little emotion when the jury found him guilty of murder, molestation, child abuse and other charges. BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- A Georgia judge has denied a new trial for a Brunswick man sentenced to death for the 2007 sexual assault and slaying of a 6-year-old boy. Superior Court Judge Stephen Scarlett ruled Thursday that David Edenfield received a fair trial despite a prosecutor calling him "an animal" in front of the jury. Christopher Barrios Edenfield's lawyers had argued that the name-calling by then-District Attorney Stephen Kelley warranted a mistrial. Kelley, who is now a judge, apologized to the judge and jury in court immediately following the outburst. Sixty-one-year-old Edenfield was convicted of malice murder in October 2009 for the slaying of young Christopher Michael Barrios, who was sexually assaulted before being strangled. Edenfield, his son, George Edenfield, and his wife, Peggy Edenfield, were all charged with rape and murder after Christopher's naked body was found stuffed in a garbage bag in March 2007.  (Nov 1, 2010 | post #675)

Glynn judge sets trial in boy's slaying

"Then next, the father and the grandmother should be prosecuted for contributory negligence in Christopher's death, for neglect." You're quite the hard ass arn't ya? This is probably the most asinine comment made on this matter up to date, and believe me there has been some dumb shyt said over that past couple of years! But this is utterly ignorant. I agree some bad decisions were made that alot of parents make when rearing children. Some people live with the idea that this kinda thing won't happen to them. I admit until this horrible crime I had that same mentality. That little boy was loved, fed, and had a bed to sleep in at night. He was blessed with his family as they were blessed with him and in no way shape of form was this little boy neglected! Neglect isn't letting a child play in the court yard in front of his house, it's not like it took 'em a week to notice the baby was missing. And they are not any more guilty then the rest of us for neglect simply because they didn't see an immediate threat or reason NOT to let that baby play outside. I admit that there were flags going up all around them and their neighbors, but Christopher wasn't the only little boy in that trailor park that was allowed to play unsupervised, so will you arrest the entire trailor park? Would you drive thru there right now with a police officer and arrest every parent of every child that you see wondering around on his or her own? Do you realize how many times a police officer has to go into a trailor park? Have you yet to hear of 'em just lockin up folks for lettin their young-uns play? I haven't! There fore you calling them criminals because they were't watching their child as closely as you or I would is just the stupidest thing I have ever read. We can not judge the Barrios for their lack of good judgement...when we have all at one time or another had the same problem...maybe not with our kids, but everyone of us have done something or said something without thinking first.....I believe this post may have been one of yours.  (May 9, 2009 | post #17)

Barrios Senior

I mean he doesn't deserve to lose his son. No matter what his crime was. And no I didn't notice anyone had inferred that here....I was just saying it before my own words got twisted and I was accused of inferring it myself. That happens quite a bit here. I'm not arguing that statory rape isn't a crime or that it shouldn't be punishable, in fact it is and it should. Most of us on this board tho, would like for Mr. Barrio's to have less stress then needed. We have compassion for him....his loss is far greater than any crime he might have committed in the past.  (Apr 29, 2009 | post #52)

Christopher Barrios Murder Trial Delayed

Yes we do realize we have a constitution. This thread is merely a wish list! I think most of us are talking about what we would like to see happen not what we expect to happen. What we expect to happen is for the people who are guilty of this horrible crime to be punished for what they did. And the punishment should fit the crime, and the only thing that would be "fittin" is for these monsters to be put to death. If the jury can't see that, and I'm sure they can, then something is seriously wrong with the men and women in this country, and we have more problems then we realize.  (Mar 16, 2009 | post #20)
