School official charged with DUI after graduation

Like it or not, an educator is an example for their students. Loosing your job for a DUI is a good example. Excusing a DUI is not.  (Jun 15, 2009 | post #14)

Hampton woman lets her fingers do the talking

Hampton woman is not talking with her fingers, but with her thumbs. The people I see talking with their fingers are usually behind the wheel of a car.  (Jun 15, 2009 | post #13)

Rev. Jeremiah Wright apologizes for statements in Daily P...

God can use Rev. Wright much like how He used a donkey to speak to Balaam. The only people who don't recognize Rev. Wright's seething bitterness toward whites are those people tormented by the same spirit of bitterness. True Christianity rises above all that.  (Jun 15, 2009 | post #117)

School official charged with DUI after graduation

I heard that she was still wearing her graduation robe, and that she has a previous DUI. I hope she's replaced before the end of the summer.  (Jun 15, 2009 | post #11)

Woman, 72, hit with Taser at traffic stop

Grandma had it coming. I hope she spends a couple weekends in jail. That said, I think the cop was too lazy to man-handle her. A little manipulation of her old joints would bring her in line just as quickly.  (Jun 12, 2009 | post #22)

Plan would make NN's City Center double in size

Not funny; smart. Allowing Oyster Point Village would be a traffic nightmare. Promoting expansion around the City Center has a synergistic effect on the city's existing investment. It is already designed for efficient traffic flow with ample parking.  (Jun 12, 2009 | post #84)

Plan would make NN's City Center double in size

If all of Newport News was like downtown, I'd never enter the city limits. The City Center is one of the few safe neighborhoods in the city. Keeping it upscale, clean, and safe should be a high priority for the city. Without neighborhoods like this, their will be less reason to bring and keep businesses in the city.  (Jun 12, 2009 | post #83)

Plan would make NN's City Center double in size

That's ancient history. Downtown NN is now a slum with no chance of rehabilitation. The thugs, pimps and drug dealers own those streets. They have no intention of moving, and residents won't help the police to force them out.  (Jun 10, 2009 | post #28)

She might be a little gun-shy as she has had six decisions reversed by the Supreme Court. Does anyone know of a sitting Supreme Court justice that has had one decision reversed in the Supreme Court prior to nomination?  (May 27, 2009 | post #55)
