1. student, i dont blame you for not throwing out your name, good call. credibility or not. I have a fairly solid assumption of who you are but you dont have to worry, your safe with me. I have been in your shoes (in a way) at one point before. 2.your wrong about botello, do you not remember when he brought in so much liberally biased literature, especially when sotomayor was being confirmed? He also like to talk about good works, and love, and peace, but i never heard him link any of it with Christianity. He discussed his views with a few students (unsupervised which is dangerous in many ways) almost every single day at lunch. Botello may be a good man and he may have a pure heart but he was unknowingly (or knowingly) indoctrinating a few young minds that were very susceptible to negative impression. PS just because someone acts Christian doesnt mean they are one. be careful with that my friend. 3. also, you admitted that Botello didnt posses the same religious views as the school, that in and of itself is the point. I will pray for you student I hope that you have not been indoctrinated into ways unknown, and that if you have been that you will find the strength and faith to break that vicious cycle. I will pray that you enjoy your years left at MCS (if your still there) or that life/college will produce all your dreams and aspirations. God bless you student.  (Aug 29, 2010 | post #186)

booyah! I cant say that I'm always pleased with MCS, but its the school I love. The rumor mill has been a turnin lately and its time for people to actually get off their butts and work to fix some of our problems. Yeah we have problems, but name any organization that doesnt. Why is it always that a handful of people do everything while the vast majority sit back and B about how its done. To be quite frank im tired of working my buns off just to have things trashed and bashed by those too lazy to do it themselves. Bravo parent, Bravo.  (Mar 18, 2010 | post #2)

curiouser, national media coverage would be awful. A nightmare. Duke seems to feed on attention, positive or negative. Plus, Selma has been through enough civil unrest over the years. I feel like the FF will accuse the "big bad white man" of thwarting their efforts to better race relations in this small southern town of racists. There are many ways they could contort such an event to their advantage.  (Feb 23, 2010 | post #14318)

Kenny, It is a pleasure to hear from you once again your insight has always been very helpful. I am so very sorry about your daughter. I will pray for yalls relationship! I learn more and more everyday that life in this world is about two things: Our relationship with Jesus Christ and our relationships with others around us, especially our families. I know how hard it is to be on bad terms with a close family member and its very hard, especially when you are putting forth all the effort possible and the other party doesnt seem interested in mending the relationship. I will pray that God will work in her heart so that she may realize a love and adoration for her earthly father as well as her Heavenly Father. The fight continues, the trenches are full. Informants have been dropped behind enemy lines and their lines shall soon fall apart from within. Their spirits will be broken by the truth. Their blind faith will crumble in the Light. God can do amazing things. He is doing amazing things. Wouldnt it be ironic if RATCO was to be infiltrated from within. wouldnt it be ironic if Dukes inner circle fell apart because of mutiny. wouldnt it be ironic if the FF collapsed under its own weight of lies, betrayal, and deceit. New developments come about often. A fresh light is shined into this group, and hopefully the censorship these people experience will be breached so that they may learn the truth for themselves. It is up to us on the outside to help these people see the Truth, The Light, and The Way, because they will never have the opportunity without us. Let us remember that we dont want the FF to move to another city, these poor souls have experienced enough. WE WANT THE FF DESTROYED FOREVER. We want these loved ones to go home, to their mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents. They need their family, and their families need them!  (Feb 23, 2010 | post #14317)

dear Jess, I do apologize!! I didnt mean to make a hit and run insult, in fact i didnt mean to insult you at all. Its just that your voice puts me to sleep. It is very calm and clear, thats a good thing. Your voice seems so boring to me, even a bit monotone. I am a bit blunt at times. I really am sorry if I insulted you! My apologies, ST To everyone else, I havent heard the new person are they really that terrible?  (Feb 23, 2010 | post #7343)

I don't like the Freedom Foundation, I certainly dont trust them, and I believe they are a cult. I will say, however, that Mrs. Hartman makes some good points. There are some subjects that she seems a bit fooled over. A message to you directly Mrs. Hartman, I can't quote very much scripture, and I am no Bible expert, but I do know that you cant believe everything your told. If you go to the source and they lie to you repeatedly then you have done nothing but waste your time. As Christians we should give people the benefit of the doubt, however, we do NOT need to allow that to progress into a situation in which your naive to the truth. This group has left a trail of lies, deceit, and broken families. Be careful, and dont be so easily bought in.  (Jan 17, 2010 | post #14162)

did anyone know Brittany Vaughn got married? She married some guy named Patrick Hendrix, I wonder if Duke had anything to do with the marriage. I dont recognize the Hendrix guy, do any of you know him?  (Jan 14, 2010 | post #14147)

I have seen this sort of "how to spot a cult" information so many times! I really dont understand how any person that has seen this (it is all around us in modern society!) can deny the freedom foundations cult status. Of the many mysteries this group has, the fact that it is a cult should be clear as day!!  (Jan 12, 2010 | post #14133)

To be perfectly honest, I agree with her. I don't believe Mark is a good man, but I don't believe hatred on our part will solve anything. I got a kick out of the page, but It is inappropriate. God wouldn't want us to be naive and blindly accept the incorrect teachings of Mark Duke, but he wouldn't want us to viciously attack him verbally or otherwise. Harsh discourse towards him, however, is not an attack, but a necessary path to maybe helping this foolish man. We are to emulate Christ, this page definitely doesn't emulate Christ. I may not be old, and I may not be wise, but in my few years I have discovered that very few problems are solved in such an evasive, ridiculing manner.  (Jan 12, 2010 | post #14132)

Carl Hartman is also the Bible teacher at MCS. I have had his class and found him to have some fairly radical ideas. I don't doubt his, or his wife's Christianity, they do however have an unorthodox interpretation of the Bible. As far as Houston Park Church of Christ is concerned, I know many GOOD, CHRISTIAN people from there. Some of whom vehemently oppose the freedom foundation, so i believe that to be a moot point. Carl is a good man and so is his wife, i believe they, as many have been, were deceived by Duke and his smooth rhetoric with his message of unity and peace. Carl has even performed in some RAT plays........  (Jan 12, 2010 | post #14131)
