Little League

Combined Teams and Grandfathering

If you were two separate chartered Little Leagues that played together for regular season and tournament play and then decide you're large enough to be on your own, all of your kids should be going with you. They could potentially get a waiver to continue playing in the neighboring league, but you guys would have to sign off on it. If you're not a chartered Little League and just a town wanting to become its own charter, it could be different. I would contact the regional director.  (Jul 27, 2014 | post #2)

Little League Suspension

You can start with your district administrator or go right to your regional director, but they're going to be busy with the tournament. Most seasons are over, no?  (Jul 27, 2014 | post #2)

Rivalries in Youth Sports...

and putting things in perspective. I promise it's worth your time to read. I had to write it quickly and under the gun in the middle of the night (because they play today), but I still think its a nice story. Please give it a look. There's PLENTY of underlying stories and tones too. Bats, Mound distance, Adults in Youth Sports, Income inequality in youth sports, etc... http://llworldseri es.blogspot.com/20 14/07/dc-little-le ague-rivalry-forge d-through.html  (Jul 22, 2014 | post #1)

majors softball pitching rule

It's the rule because that's how softball is played at every level. It does no damage to the arm.  (Jun 28, 2014 | post #2)

All Star Little League substitution rules

It depends on the roster size and players available on game day. If there's 12 players or less on the lineup card, then the mandatory play is six consecutive defensive outs and one at bat. If it's 13 or more players on the lineup card, then it's just one at bat. No defensive requirements.  (Jun 28, 2014 | post #94)
