Method Man: Hip-hop was best in 90s

that looks good to me, except id probably give ego tripin a 0 too, at least in the game is to be sold he wrote his lyrics i think, he hired someone to write ego trippin for him, and thats like as low as you can get  (Dec 29, 2008 | post #159)

i never really knew what the big deal about snoop dogg was, he has one classic album and thats it, i dont even think doggystyle is THAT great. i dont think it even compares to "real brothaz", id say its one of the best g-funk albums of all time if you havent heard it you should at least give it a listen. knoccout and dresta had a whoole lot of potential but they kept goin in and out of prison, but they where good and i think better then snoop  (Dec 28, 2008 | post #157)

who is the best rapper of all time

lyrically the only tech song i really like is industrial revolution. hes has some pretty good metaphors and what not but his flow is pretty bad, and its like every song is the same. i dont hate dead prez considering ide rather listen to them then most of todays mainstream stuff but i definetely wouldnt say i liked them, the only good thing i can really say is that stic man has an okay flow but M-1 sucks, and just like tech all of there songs are the same  (Dec 28, 2008 | post #4327)

i just listened to encore again, and i think the only good/okay songs are... evil deeds, never enough, yellow brick road, like toy soldiers, mosh, we as americans, ricky ticky toc, and i love you more, thats about it  (Dec 25, 2008 | post #4318)

thats actually exactly how i feel about immortal technique. i could just never explain it, its just like dead prez, the whole "every white guy is out to get me" theme gets annoying after a while  (Dec 25, 2008 | post #4317)

i agree on everything except dre vs eazy. i actually think eazy e killed them, i think real muthaphukkin Gz was way better then dre day because dre just made up a bunch of stuff about how he wants to beat him up to where eazy actually told the truth and revealed stuff from dres past(especially the pics from the world class wrekkin cru). plus bg knooccout & dresta are 10x better then snoop dogg. and ruthless had what i think is a top 10 diss song "DPG Killa"http:// www.youtube.com/wa tch?v=tdI8Md8n65A and they dissed on more then one song and lyrically, not just in intros and stuff.  (Dec 25, 2008 | post #155)

Nas? Tupac? Biggie? Eazy E? Who's No1

eazy e had a great delivery and a distinct voice. he was a very good rapper but he didnt write his own lyrics therefore hes no better then nas, big, or pac. hes not the founder of gangsta rap but i def think he popularized it so he does deserve the title of the godfather of gangsta rap.  (Dec 24, 2008 | post #158)

im not sure cube got murdered by cypress hill. i liked no rest for the wicked, but then king of the hill was also great, and then cypress hill put out ice cube killa which i thought was kinda wack. and you could tell they didnt genuinely dislike each other. if westdide connection had more time to fire back i really dont know who wouldve won it,  (Dec 24, 2008 | post #152)

i cant take songs hes featured on into consideration because he cant really do his own thing, its like he has to follow the other artists format. all the songs hes on are with crappy artists. and the only decent song is the one by the only decent artist hes with (we aint). and id honestly rather listen to encore then kingdom come. i cant say his career is over and i cant admit that its over until i here relapse and from what i here its supposed to be extremely good (but its from his sources so of course theyre gonna say that). hopefully it doesnt dissapoint me. i dont get why you only gave 2/5 for infinite. lyrically and flow wise its the best thing hes done. i think somewhere you said you havent listened to it in years. i think you should try listening to again on youtube or something. the only critism i have is that its like hes still searching for a style, but its still great, its actually my favorite work from him  (Dec 24, 2008 | post #4313)

i think that saying someone got destroyed lyrically on a song because of the way its produced is a poor excuse. he hasnt put any good music since 2004 because thats the last time hes put out any music, so your pretty much saying that when he puts out music its gonna be something good. i think the last good music put out was the black album and hes released 2 albums since that and eminem has only released 1 since the eminem show, and the eminem show was better then the black album. and the rocafella roster isnt even that much better then the shady roster. 50 cent used to be good before he got his money and sold out to pop. D12 isnt even bad except for bizarre. obie trice is good. yea jadakiss is good and beanie sigal is just okay, but id rather listen to D12 honestly. and freeway is also signed to g-unit  (Dec 24, 2008 | post #4309)
