I did it-I really may be cured!

The hair is starting to grow back, My normally full beard is coming back peach-fuzz. It like I'm 13 years old again. I lost most my eyebrows too, I wonder how long that will take to grow back?  (Jul 7, 2014 | post #27)

I did it-I really may be cured!

I think I did it! I think I'm done with this stuff! I even forget to read the forum for weeks at a time. I stopped all treatments on June-5. My hair hasn't started growing again, but Hell-who misses shaving every morning? All my thanks goes to SweetKitten and the likes of him/her with such great posts about cures. This forum needs a lot of filtering before one finds the meaningful posts, but thank God I didn't suffer long or lose out on any work. Today is June 23- just in time for a bug free summer! so i picked up my ivermectin and permethrin cream...r/o

I would definitely change my laundry detergent to A&M and add a lot of 20 Mule Team Borax, Borax has many of the same ingredients as Boric Acid. Also I would start reading as much as possible about scabies and using some of the essential oil topicals such as clove oil mixes also isopropyl alcohol. Invest in a good quality spray bottle to quickly wet your body and enviroment. I don't think I would start with the poisons till I knew I had them first. good luck!  (May 14, 2014 | post #13)

Yes bad idea! Imagine thousands of the microscopic mites, you cant see, hiding out and awaiting your return so they can have another blood bath! Maybe your dry cleaning killed hundreds but how many survived?  (May 10, 2014 | post #17)

Albendazole (Valbazen) Curing Me

It sounds similiar to my bites. If my interpretation is correct Smokestak says he thinks they may have been birdmites, read post #914 -6th paragraph.  (May 6, 2014 | post #985)

Im washing with Borax mixed with the Arm & Hammer powder with baking soda already mixed. Seems Borax has many of the same ingrediants as boric acid and comes highly recomended by many here. I hate putting on an old shirt to feel bites right away, the Borax seems to have solved that. I do so much laundry I never get to the old stuff already hanging.  (May 4, 2014 | post #25)

We will know if and when it is working when you start to sleep well. I occasionally still spritz with the Isopropyl Alcohol when my post scabies starts to bother me and gets me thinking bad things. One good piece of advice is buy a couple of high quality spray bottles, not the 99cent ones but the $3.99 ones. Great for quickly flooding your body or environment with any liquid scabicide  (May 3, 2014 | post #23)

Albendazole (Valbazen) Curing Me

Hang in there second chance, you’re a little premature as well in my opinion. My improvements took a couple of weeks before I could discern a difference. I’m shocked when I read stories of people feeling a difference in 24 hours. I just figured they were more infested than myself and had been living with them longer. Once it starts working the next you got to be ready to experience is that post scabies period. That’s another delight! [not!]  (May 2, 2014 | post #959)

Albendazole (Valbazen) Curing Me

Hey smokestak, don't you think your a little early to be looking to be cured? It seems to me you been taking the Valb for just slightly over two weeks now? I'm just not sure if I am interpreting your statement correctly? Keep up the good work!  (May 2, 2014 | post #956)

Wow! April 30th already, that’s another 20 some days on the Valbazen and I’m still afraid to stop dosing. I’m more and more convinced it’s not Sarcoptes Scabiei I’m dealing with but more of a bird mite I’m afraid. I have been treating my bedroom as I would for bedbugs with sticky traps under my bed legs and Vaseline spread on my bedposts. Anything crawling on my floor cannot get into my bed. I’m treating the hardwood floor with spray garden poison for spiders and mites from the local home depot. Plastic bagged the mattress which I spray down with Pine-sol every morning and “Cedar Mothballs” under the covers till I get back home from work at night. I spray a Lavender soap on my skin and rub it in every morning. Bird Mites are more susceptible to aromas than the human mite and I don’t believe the eggs are laid under my skin but inside my clothes and bed covers. So far so good, no new string bites for over a week now though I still sense a crawling every once in a while- which is greatly unnerving! Looks I’ll still be here for another couple of weeks. I’m not signing off yet!  (Apr 30, 2014 | post #18)

Furniture treatment for scabies?

I would think it would be! Maybe spray with an insecticide or mothballs in the drawers and wait 10 days. Quarantine is prescribed for furniture and clothing’s.  (Apr 23, 2014 | post #2)
