The Hwy 28 at La 171 roundabout

I was right. The traffic circle is laughable. Depending on how fast traffic is moving and how heavy it is it's hard to tell many times if traffic coming onto the circle is going to follow the highway (171) or cut to Market Basket, 28 or the other side of 171. Add to that many people have vehicles have those automatic turn signals that never work.  (Jul 18, 2012 | post #4)

So would it be safe to say that the good old boys are still working in Leesville or is it just me. The good old boys are alive and well.  (Feb 19, 2011 | post #88)

Anon said [Despite the many military personnel who are involuntarily stationed here, this town has the most narrow-minded attitude of anywhere I've ever lived. God forbid we sell booze near a church!] Hear, hear!  (Sep 15, 2010 | post #7)

Marijuana - Leesville, LA

Legalizing it for medical use is one thing, but for any other use? My answer is simple. NO!  (Sep 15, 2010 | post #4)

lady run over in front of pegasus club

And people wonder why I stopped going to those places on Billy Goat Hill. Seems to me a lot of the ones that do go there don't know how to act after they get a few drinks in them. With all the fights that go on there and all the illegal activity that goes on, There is no way in hell that I'm going there.  (Sep 15, 2010 | post #12)

Should alcohol be sold in Rosepine ?

If they can't buy it in Rosepine they'll buy it in Leesville or Deridder. Sure surprised me when I saw alcoholic beverages being sold in the Deridder Wal-Mart!  (Sep 15, 2010 | post #9)

I know there are some Louisiana politicians I'm not voting for come election time. If you think the present situation with the intersection at 171 and 28 is bad now just wait. The plan they have for the traffic circle is a laughable pile of crap. It looks worse than the one that's in Alexandria. I'll likely be taking other routes to get from 171 to 28 and vise versa.  (Sep 15, 2010 | post #2)

TXBORNTXRAISED said [LAWl, ur a hater lol. You probebly still live in the 2 bedroom house up on cenderblocks, havin g sex with your cousin and drinkin moonshine u made in the shed out back by the out house. Lol it's ok to be upset, you'll get out of there someday, get ur GED and become someone.] From your post it seems you're the one with educational problems. You misspelled 'probably', 'cinder blocks' and 'drinking'. As for myself I have my 12 years of schools. Graduated with better than a 4.2 GPA and I attended technical college to learn more about computers. Now why do I live here? I don't like the cooler weather up north and El Paso was too darn dry. Also the vehicle registration fees here are much lower.  (Sep 15, 2010 | post #466)

New Llano wins the Annex battle.

Ronald45 said [It is hilarious that Leesville and New LLano would even be fighting over billygoat hill. When both these sh*thole towns finally wake the hell up and realize that in most peoples eyes they truly are "sh*thole " towns they might actually move to more pressing issues that will result in the growth of both cities. I do see a hell of a lot of hotels going up, how long before they go under? Here's a clue you now have places for people to stay when they come to town. HOW ABOUT GIVING THEM A REASON TO COME TO TOWN IN THE FIRST F*CKING PLACE!!!!! ] On this point I have to agree. I too see these new hotels going up. That's just great. Now there will be places for people to stay as they pass through. Now how about giving them incentives to stay.  (Sep 15, 2010 | post #3)

[I like how leesville now has a forum where I can go and check out all the whiners in town. Leesville is a place where you like it or leave it.] Precisely why I live out of town and have as little to do with it as possible.  (Aug 7, 2010 | post #456)

Wal-Mart

What gets me is that they'll have some item that's selling like hotcakes and delete it from the inventory in favor of something that's not in demand. That makes no sense at all!  (Jul 6, 2010 | post #5)
