Buckeye Back Talk: What are your thoughts on Ohio State v...

Time and luck, not skill you say? Ran out for the better team? Who won? No this game doesn't say anything about the other Big Ten teams. This game only shows that Ohio State can beat an SEC team named Arkansas. Again who won? What was the score? This game showed that the Ohio State defense with two freshmen corners could shake, rattle and roll an Arkansas(Texas born and raised) 6'7" QB that will be a top 25 pick in the upcoming NFL draft. Cameron Hayward was a man among boys last night! He was everywhere! In case you missed it Mallet's stats were 24 for 47 and an abysmal 51.1 completion percentage. He threw the final interception that was the perverbial nail in their coffin. Pryor did not throw an interception. Mallet was sacked 4 times and Pryor not once. Ohio State's 3rd down efficiency was 50% while Arkansas' was 31%. Arkansas was given a gift that led to a touchdown on the onside kick in the first quarter. Then another gift when OSU went for it on 4th down in the 4th quarter and didn't get it. Since you must not have seen the game, the score did not show how much the Bucks dominated the Hogs on the field. And again who won? Who was the dominator? What was the score? Oh yeh. OSU 31 Arkansas 26.  (Jan 5, 2011 | post #480)

Program lost respect around the country? Maybe for those that are ignorant of the rules and what exactly happened. They sold their personal belongings. At what point are they allowed to do that? After they leave the University? I mean they can't sell their car, furniture or whatever? Give me a break! Also the NCAA told them to play. The University told them to play. The Big Ten told them to play and honor their commitment to the Sugar Bowl. Now watch as the penalty is reduced when all the facts come out. Get a clue.  (Jan 5, 2011 | post #450)

That was an amazing game. The players left it all on the field last night. The way they played when they kept cramping, then after Chekwa left with two freshmen playing D-back and all was amazing. Hayward was a man among boys last night. Sanzenbacher has the best hands in all of college football, no doubt. And TP well what can one say. He did his thing and did what he had to do for the win. I thought the Vest made two decision errors when he kicked the onside kick in the beginning and when he went for it in the fourth quarter on fourth down. Those two decisions led to 10 points for the Hogs. That said, he makes 3.9 mil and I don't make squat as a college football coach. He is also a good father figure and example for these kids. The referees let the kids play. There were more penalties than were called. Especially the first Arkansas touchdown. The kid pushed off for seperation in the end zone as the ball got near him and wasn't called. That said, I'm a huge fan of allowing the players decide the game and the Buckeyes did exactly that. The Buckeyes beat Arkansas much worse than the score showed. That's for sure. They are 2011 Sugar Bowl Champions and now the SEC **** is off their back. Now these SEC fans in Florida where I live, can kiss me where the sun don't shine. Thank you Ohio State Buckeyes you are THE BEST!!!!!!  (Jan 5, 2011 | post #425)

Is reading Constitution politics or progress?

FYI unfortunately the young have been taught that the federal government is over the states. They actually believe the federal government has all rights to pass laws to force the states to succumb to their will. Notice I said rights to do and not that it isn't done. The feds have been given rights they don't have by an ignorant electorate. People think that under the general welfare clause the feds can do what they want. As long as it's in our best interest and for general welfare. News flash youngins not so!!! General welfare means that they will not take sides with one state over another or with a certain group over another. That's why the federal government's powers are enumerated. That means specifically spelled out. Otherwise their powers would not need to be spelled out. The federal government has been stepping all over the Constitution and need to be put back in check. Hopefully when they read the Constitution they will understand there is a limit on their powers. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!!!  (Jan 3, 2011 | post #15)

Boehner to promise new routine in House | The Columbus Di...

If they can't repeal the healthcare bill they should be able to defund it. We can't afford it as the world watches our economy crumble. We are too close to defaulting on our national debt and China is watching very closely. China and others have already met in an attempt to replace the US dollar as the world's standard currency. If you can't repeal, defund, defund, defund.  (Jan 3, 2011 | post #30)

Tax credits in the bill? Yes for those that don't work. Or those who don't make the threshold. But for all of us working folk no tax credit. That's my point. If tax credits are good enough for some why are they not for all of us. That's what I mean by the government is picking the losers and the winners. Unions don't pay for the Cadillac type but I do. I don't get a tax credit to help pay for it but the rest do. And you call that social justice I suppose. Why should I continue to work? If the government is going to help me keep my house, I can get welfare and healthcare why work? I think I will leave the country for a couple of years. Get citizenship in another country and come in as an illegal immigrant looking for free government stuff. Why work? The incentive to work is disappearing in the USA with this entitlement crap going on all around.  (Mar 19, 2010 | post #48)

Is obama the worst president in history?

Hey Voice I just realized something. Damn it's not the entire bill. It's just the budget part. They are passing healthcare piece meal. Gee why would they do this? Hmmm. One must ask why? Oh yeh. They can't get the bill passed within their own party. Can't do it with a majority vote. There's no consensus. So go reconciliation piece meal and deem it passed if necessary. What a travesty. What a joke they are making of our constitution. It is a sad day for the Republic.  (Mar 19, 2010 | post #4631)

This is merely the reconciliation budget proposal. It is not the insurance plan explaining coverage and the limits therein. This simply explains the budget of the bill. Stay tuned later to see how insurance coverage, regulations and how the system of treatment and care will be set up. Smoke and Mirrors. Smoke and Mirrors.  (Mar 19, 2010 | post #4630)

LZ I believe we need healthcare reform. Absolutely we need it. Just not the government kind. Free market approaches that will result in us the people being in control with less expense incurred. We can't afford a mistake. Not now. That's why all options and methods should be discussed, debated, reviewed and finacially scored before a decision is rendered. This current process has been void of such. Take what the progressives in control say we should have or have nothing is the mode of operation currently in play by the majority today in our government. The largest most expensive expansive entitlement program ever in our history and it's push it through without bi partisan participation. Void of discussion and debate. No matter how we have to do it. Just get it passed. What a shame. It's a sad day in the Republic.  (Mar 19, 2010 | post #45)

I made my point. You are not required to be moved by my post. You can't dispute the facts. All you have left is name calling. That's sad you have been reduced to such.  (Mar 19, 2010 | post #4627)

Why does Obama, Pelosi and Reid need props when speaking? Why use children? If they didn't practice such this would not be an issue. They(Obam, Reid and Pelosi) brought all this on. How classless.  (Mar 19, 2010 | post #4626)
