Scott McGee

Scott McGee sucks, and it's sad to say that porky pig looking Todd Faulkner will be a step down from him.  (Feb 9, 2013 | post #52)

Paducah police on a daily rampage.

So if I go get a certificate showing that I have completed a driving coarse and I'm qualified to handle a car, then I should be exempt too? From time to time it's to be expected that a cop will have to turn from a non turning lane or blow a red light, but when their doing things like that simply because they can, and us regular people "can't be trusted to do those thing", hypocrisy at its finest!!  (Jan 11, 2013 | post #11)

Executive orders / actions

Romney took away the constitutional rights of MA when he was governor there by not only passing mandatory healthcare, just like Obamacare, but also banning so called assault weapons. Romney and Obama might as well be the same person.  (Jan 11, 2013 | post #12)

What are chances they will ban my AR 15

I know there are a lot more than I am aware of, I am just saying that compared to guns that resemble them, there are very few real ones in the area. And of the real ones you never see or hear of them getting used in a crime. If they all out ban semi auto guns, which I have a feeling is why they want them registered on the NFA list, then just building a real assault rifle seems like the option a lot of people will take. It's not hard to make a semi auto gun into a select fire gun, and if they are illegal anyway, why not just convert it to select fire? Like you, I obey the laws and I'm not a threat to innocent law abiding people, so I have no problem following the laws. But I won't be disarmed.  (Jan 2, 2013 | post #120)

To me it's certainly not worth it. I looked into it a long time ago because I was interested, and then I found out all the stipulations and costs. You can't build or convert any weapon to full auto legally. The only guns you can legally buy that are full auto are the ones on the NFA list, so since there are a limited # of legal ones the prices are so sky high that unless you are a wealthy collector it's pointless to buy it. Then there are the ammo prices that detour you from shooting it enough to enjoy it. Ive never heard the rule about comming into your home, but I wouldn't doubt it. I'll stick to my semi auto ones as well  (Dec 31, 2012 | post #109)

There are very few assault weapons in our area. There are lots of rifles that resemble them, but very few that really are. The department of defense defines assault rifles as being select fire, so they have the capability of full auto fire. An AR15 doesn't have that capability and is not an assault rifle. The semi auto rifles you own will have to be registered on the NFA firearms list, and will only be transferable with the purchase of a tax stamp and lots of paperwork. Not only will this cause you A LOT of hassle in buying or selling a rifle, but it will drive the price of that rifle threw the roof!! Real assault rifles are already on that list, and are bought and sold that way. An M16 will cost you about 8-10K because there are only a certain # of them that are on the list. You can't just go buy a new one, because their not allowed to make new ones for sale. So you either pay the price or don't have it. I've heard lots of people argue that automatic rifles have no defensive applications...if that's true then why does the Secret Service and Capital police carry MP5's, P90's, M4's, and Uzi's? They aren't an assault force... The reason is the same as why many people during the LA riots and Katrina defended their homes and businesses with semi auto weapons. It's the best tool to defend against multiple attackers who are intent on doing you harm.  (Dec 31, 2012 | post #104)

I didn't say anything about seeing blue lights. I said when you see a cop people slow down. Slowing down doesn't mean things are safer though, as most wrecks, especially around the area of the mall occur at low speeds. Basically seeing a cop keeps drivers attention from the task at hand of watching what they're doing. How many times have you passed a cop and kept checking your mirror to see what he's doing? If he's turning or pulling in to follow you? They are as big a distraction as someone trying to read a map or answer a cell phone. Statistics can be made to show anything is true. Like I said, since I bought a new pair of shoes in October, lawn mowing has dropped by 100%. That must mean the grass is not gonna grow as long as I have new shoes. There are WAY too many variables to concider to give all credit to more cops around the mall.  (Dec 28, 2012 | post #41)

I agree totally. If AR15's were illegal then Timothy McVey wouldn't have shot all those people with that truck bomb, and OJ wouldn't have shot his wife and her friend with that knife. It's time everyone needs to realize that individuals can't be held accountable for their actions. We need to start banning inanimate objects.  (Dec 28, 2012 | post #20)

Since I've bought this new pair of shoes, my grass hasn't needed mowing. But I'm not gonna start buying shoes every time the grass gets high. I'm sure a lot of the reason for the drop in collisions is the time of year and weather conditions. I know people tend to slow down when they see a cop car, but giving them the credit for lower collisions is the same as giving my shoes credit for less mowing being needed. As for the other thing your saying...if that's true, which I don't doubt that it is, it's just saying that more police work gets done by accident then what they can actually accomplish by trying to do their job every day.  (Dec 28, 2012 | post #30)

Their job isn't to write tickets, it's to enforce the law. Their are much much more important things than writing someone a ticket for 50mph in a 40mph zone. The part that always gets on my nerves about it is the hypocrisy of 99% of the police. They need to police themselves. You see them write someone a ticket for 45 in a 35, then the next day they pass you on the highway going like 70 in a 55. The reason you only hear about the bed ones is because only about 5% are the good ones. The rest are just trying to prove to everyone that they are important and you better do what they say. Napoleon complex having hypocrites...  (Dec 15, 2012 | post #24)
