Vote close in Vallejo Measure A count

Joe Dirty, pay no attention to the false bravado of Pete. He wields a keyboard and waxes of battles he has not fought. The true protectors of the legion are those that wear blue. In times of trouble those who rule the kingdom will always seek those who have the courage to give their life for this land. Many of my men are out there in the adverse conditions. Many of them are bloodied and cleaved. Some will never leave this place. I will not believe they fought and died for nothing. Those in blue will prevail.  (Jun 9, 2010 | post #143)

Dangerous proposal

Here is a scenario that happens every weekend in cities all over the state. A person in the US illegally is arrested for possessing narcotics and the police search their wallet. A ebt card and Solano Partnership card is in their wallet along with about three hundred dollars cash. Doesn't that make you feel good. If an illegal needs to be seen for an emergency then treat them. When they are better, contact imigration and deport them. IT IS THAT SIMPLE. Actually the worry shouldn't be with Solano County it should be with the Obama Socialist medicine plan. Good luck commrades.  (Oct 9, 2009 | post #29)

Vallejo's economic recovery to lag region's, says report

So where is the VIB "I told you so" terrorists? York puts out a report blaming psu salaries and benefits for all the city's problems and it becomes the gospel. The grand jury, seated with average citizens who don't have any where near the expertise and knowledge as Schussel, blames psu and it is the gospel. A think tank with eductated economists and experts reveals Vallejo's failure to produce revenue and suddenly it goes quiet.  (Oct 9, 2009 | post #12)

Gomes Council Meeting Update

Gomes voiced her objection over two items at the council meeting. She first voiced her concern over the garbage rates. The garbage employees will receive a raise during the next few years. She also objected to the post office closing the Amador St. location to save money. Gomes asked the council to send a letter to the postmaster to object to the closing of the post office. I find this ironic that she will be receiving a raise very soon from her employer, the federal government, but objects to the raises of garbage employees. Will she also ask all the postal employees to take a ten percent wage reduction to save the Amador St. location? I see that her hipocracy still flows from the dais. Council Member Gomes. Please take a pay cut. The federal deficit is out of control. We as tax payers cannot afford your current salary much less a raise. Do the right thing and campaign for change.  (Sep 22, 2009 | post #1)

Benicia police plan open house

When will VPD put on their open house. All the VIB terrorists can walk around the station and see the empty hallways. They can go into the locker room and see the broken sewage pipes spilling all over the floor. They can go into the restroom and see how it resembles a Chevron station. There could be an information booth set up where the likes of Shay, Captain, Silas and the other confederates can come out from behind their keyboards and tell the cops how they feel about them. Gomes can show up and yell at everyone and throw papers around.  (Sep 11, 2009 | post #6)

Ship concerns

This is exactly what is wrong with Vallejo. Progressive enviromentalists who want nothing but open space everywhere. If they had it their way there would be no vehicles, business or roads anywhere. Their socialist ways will depend upon the government taking our money and distributing it out to social programs. Let's not forget that Gomes is in bed with these people. She led the fight against waterfront developement and threatened to sue the city. Gomes wants to sit in her office, high on a hill on Mare Island, and look out over parks and trees. And don't forget, she will be doing this while taking a pay raise from the federal government.  (Sep 11, 2009 | post #16)

Witnesses who won't talk deny justice to all

Shay you are a racist fraud. I bet you wear a no snitches shirt to the store. I wonder if the victims of these violent crimes appreciate you perpetuating the "don't talk to the police because they are all dirty" mantra. Shay, shay go away and don't come back ever!  (Aug 31, 2009 | post #27)

Will Gomes take pay raise next year?

All civilian federal employees were scheduled to receive a 2.4% pay raise. President Obama ordered that the raise be reduced to 2.0%. The federal government has trillions of dollars in debt. How can we sustain such out of reach salaries for our federal employees? The employees that work in the bay area also get increases for local pay. We are spending outside of our means. Will Gomes accept the raise and further burden the American taxpayer? Will she be part of her "transparent government" and disclose her earnings and benefit package? Will she disclose what she has done to alleviate the financial crisis in the United States (ie furloughs, pay reductions, benefit reductions)? Ms. Gomes, I again, as a taxpayer of the United States, ask you to just take a pay cut to stop this deficit.  (Aug 31, 2009 | post #1)

Judge wants Solano County legal museum built in Fairfield

Six Flags to host day for LGBT community

Are they going to have a menage a tois day? Are they going to have a bondage day? Are they going to have a masturbation day? Are they going to have an orgy day? Since when do we have a day to honor sexual acts and preference? To make it worse, they do it on a day when thousands of Americans were murdered. I hope there are protesters lined up on Fairgrounds Dr. all day long.  (Aug 24, 2009 | post #28)

Council to review Vallejo's cash reserves

More twisted numbers from a VIB terrorist. When are you going to post Gomes salary? She is a government employee. I also want Marti Brown's salary and benefits posted.  (Aug 23, 2009 | post #12)

Vallejo police honor volunteers; ceremony comes as the de...

How many VPOA meetings have you been to where council candidates were questioned? Believe it or not they don't just sell to the highest bidder. Council members are not bought and paid for. This is your delusional ideology acting up again. It still comes down to votes. I know you believe that everyone who votes cannot think for themselves and will only align themselves with who has the most money. Your comments are an insult to voters of the city.  (Aug 21, 2009 | post #21)

Say What you are wrong. The contract looked more than "doable" it was absolutely fine with the city. It is not the VPOA's fault that the claims were high. The city was warned of this prior to entering bankruptcy but chose to do so anyway. The real problem is that the city had their eyes so fixed on the belief that contracts would be wiped clean that they forgot about the other costs, claims and ramifications of bankruptcy. Look, the city does not understand what a contract means. They sign them and truly believe that if it doesn't work they can just renig. Why would any union sit down and renegotiate anything with the city when their word means nothing at all. I won't buy the theory that shortly after the new contract was signed that the city's finances became more dire because of unexpected state shortfalls and lower tax revenue. Doesn't the city employ finance people who analyze these types of things? The city new dam well that reductions in revenue were pending and state takeaways were exempted for Vallejo. Poor planning once again by the city. The most important thing that people choose to overlook is the fact that the VPOA has always negotiated in good faith and compromise. Allegations of threats and strong arm negotiations have never been proved. The old "bought candidate" or "funded four" rhetoric is also tiresome. Is Gomes bought by Kondylis? Is Schively bought by VIB contributions? Sorry folks, campaign contributions are legal. It comes down to votes. Those who oppose campaign contributions assume that voters are too naive and uneducated to make their own decisions. So again, layoffs and reductions are perpetuated by the city's inability to function due to their own actions. The VPOA is not the cause of the layoffs.  (Aug 21, 2009 | post #11)

Fight the distortion

Hey socialist, are Moveon.org, Code Pink and Cindy Sheehan using fear mongering? I thought that dissent was the greatest form of patriotism. Your are a hipocritical socialist. Don't lay the race card either. No one likes that. That usually is the last resort for a desperate person.  (Aug 21, 2009 | post #8)
