American, if you read this go to your town's page and read what I wrote. It's a wake up call! (Wednesday Dec 2 | post #59264)
I know I haven't posted on here for awhile but I have been reading everyone else's posts. Today, when I logged in I noticed my new replies came with the accident that happened on Colorado. Now, before I get everyone riled up at me, I will say that I am not trying to bring it back to the forefront. Which is why I made this thread. Either way, I reread alot of posts and was deeply saddened by what I read. Everyone judges everyone else. By their words, actions, or thoughts we all do it. The person who causes heartache by their thoughtless words. The people who deny friendship to anyone that is not of their town while claiming to be God-fearing Christians. The people who instantly decide they know what happened before the facts are known. Or how about the people who are scared of someone else just because they have higher education than they do. I realize that this post probably will get most of you upset at me but right now I really don't care. The posts I read in "Accident " were extremely hurtful and right now I am SICK of most of you. New “chain” restaurant in Ulysses

New “chain” restaurant in Ulysses
Old Ulysses, McDonald's has been in Ulysses since the end of 1993 to the beginning of 1994. Not sure about the exact date, sorry. For the nicer chain restaurants in Garden, we have Applebee's, Lonestar, IHOP, Wendy's and Arby's. Garden also has some really good local restaurants, too. Such as Planks', Jade's Buffet, El Zarape's, and others. Now for a restaurant I miss in Ulysses. It's the Dairy Queen. Yes, I realize we have one here but they don't serve burgers, chicken planks, and the like. Continuing on, a place that I would love to see come to Ulysses or within an hour of Garden is Chuck E. Cheese. Of course, then every day when my kids are out of school, the response for "what do you guys want for dinner?", will be "Chuck E. Cheese!" Laughing... (Sep 30, 2009 | post #25)

Just want to give everyone a heads up. If you go to St. Catherine's or any hospital for that matter. Make sure that they bill your insurance in a timely matter! (Sep 16, 2009 | post #1)
I hate to suggest this but take a page out of Garden City's book. The Main Street project. I'm sorry that I don't remember what it is called, exactly. Take a county-wide poll and see just what the citizens of Grant County want to see on Main Street. Then offer incentives for them to shop local. (Sep 14, 2009 | post #3)
Ulysses what we remember/miss/wonder about now
I remember when Alejandro's used to be on Colorado Street and Shelly's was on Main. The drive-in theater still standing in pieces, at least. (Sep 14, 2009 | post #2)

Then, I guess I am the exception. My parents raised me well. The whole don't do drugs, don't have sex, don't drink, etc., etc. Yet, I was a teen mom and no, I don't regret it one bit. My daughter has an loving family. Maybe that's the answer. If they want to have sex and get pregnant, encourage them to consider adoption for the children. (Sep 10, 2009 | post #25)
