Which 5year Midlo Resident Alias is your Favorite?

This is sad case's wife. I just want to assure you all that sad case is truly not anyone's alias. Also, he truly is deceased. You can come see the little white box his ashes sit in for yourself. As for anyone that might be insinuating that he is Anne Marie, I am 100% certain that he was not her. I would come home from work many of eves with him irate over one of her tantrums. :) As for him possibly being Free Speech, I do not believe it either. I would come home and he would either read me the posts of the day or have me read through threads, never making mention that he was Free Speech. I hope this dissolves anyone's conspiracy theories that my hubby was anyone but himself,  (May 8, 2012 | post #12)

Sad Case

This is Sad Case's wife, Sandi. It is with a heavy heart I inform you that it is not a cruel joke or a mere rumor. I lost my husband on 3/8 at 4:15 am. We are not sure exactly what happened, just that he had some weird infection that got into his blood stream and caused him to go septic. Please keep our beautiful daughters in your prayers. I know that he was a great thorn in many of your sides, but I promise you he was one of the kindest, most sensitive and silliest souls I have ever had the honor of meeting.  (Mar 8, 2012 | post #20)

A similar thing happened last week, and they fixed it within 30 minutes, then more people pointed out other things that were wrong, and suddenly the whole site went down and came back up with some changes. The one thing that gets me is if we are spending money for the full time village manager and a full time in house lawyer, then why would they feel the need copy and paste copyrighted material, with all their education, taking a lazy way out, not even proof reading it. Another factoid, when you Google the opening remarks that our village had "written ", Wood River's site is the first one to come up, maybe they should have searched out a more generic one before using such a technique that makes them look like complete fools.  (Mar 6, 2012 | post #14)

They still have not given the source by which they used their page to create this one. At least it should be in quotes and at the bottom the source(s) used to make it. Technically it is still plagiarism. Word for word, just changing the village name does not fix this fact. My cousin writes many articles for web pages was shocked and said if that was her writing she would sue them. Also if they village did not get rights to use the Gazebo picture, the same would apply.  (Mar 6, 2012 | post #11)

I wonder where they stole the gazebo picture, if only it looked like that, not even close. Those trees would take years to grow there. Keep looking, I am sure there is even more misrepresentations on the site.  (Mar 6, 2012 | post #10)

So we are paying for in house counsel and his secretary, only to have him copy and paste from another site and give it to whoever updates the web page. Our tax dollars well at work. I would have been expelled from college if I did such a thing. Good catch Proof.  (Mar 6, 2012 | post #2)

St. Chris kids get jumped for their money

Its just a matter of time before someone gets hurt in one of these altercations. As the weather warms, it drives a certain element to get antsy. With nothing for them to do with themselves, this will get more and more wide spread. Perhaps the money spent on the legal department could have put two more officers on our streets. What a village leadership we have. You can bet the families are doing their darnedest to get out of this town.  (Mar 3, 2012 | post #3)

People should have the right to hire whoever they want as long as all work being done is up to code. Many of these workers were former union workers, but have not worked in years due the lack of work. We all know someone who has left the state in order to find work in a non-union environment. Unions have cost the city of Chicago millions, many buildings went up elsewhere and trade shows went were it cost half as much.  (Mar 1, 2012 | post #13)
