Where is Ryan Smith? Has he gone to trial yet?  (Jun 21, 2013 | post #122)

Mabel, I have not had much hope to get my money back since I discovered what type of person Ryan is. If I had thought he had anything worth pursuing, I would have filed a civil suit against him. I don't want to put more money in a hopeless case. Criminal courts can order restitution, but many times they don't. I will continue to pursue Ryan until he faces criminal charges in Texas. I will be at peace with the decision of the judge or jury, but I will be thrilled if it results in a long prison sentence for Ryan Smith. I sympathize with residents of Dogwood residents if they have been wronged, but they are the ones that can control their destiny.  (Feb 12, 2013 | post #109)

If Tony and/or Ryan are trying to play a pea shell game with "partnership " being the pea, the courts - that's plural- will find the pea. Ryan also faces charges in Texas after Pennsylvania gets through with him. If Ryan owns anything not protected by bankruptcy, it will probably be seized by the courts and attorneys.  (Feb 9, 2013 | post #106)

Get real "Eye Witness", Ryan is Dogwood Park. Tony is not intelligent enough to run a business. Ryan will always pull the strings and Tony will be the puppet on the other end. You have to hand it to Ryan, he lives the good life and nightlife while his little brother tries to straighten out his mess. I will say one more time, anyone with a vested interest in Ryan Smith or Dogwood Acres, should have representation at the Bankruptcies Hearings.  (Dec 22, 2012 | post #93)

I doubt you will ever get anything from Ryan, he will probably be on the run the rest of his life. I don't know about Tony, but I would find out all I could about his bankruptcy. For myself, I would just like to see him arrested and tried in court for the crimes he is charged with. I will be content with the verdicts handed down by the jury or judge.  (Dec 4, 2012 | post #89)

Ryan Smith Jumps Bail

Just joking, I know I will never get my money back, but Ryan Smith will be found and go to trial. Others will be prosecuted for aiding and abetting a known fugitive. Ryan does not have the resources to live the lifestyle he would like to without help. He is in too deep now to do anything but run. But he will be caught.  (Jul 12, 2012 | post #8)

And here I was thinking he had turned his life around and I was gonna get my money back. He will be found again.  (Jul 11, 2012 | post #6)

Where is Ryan

My apologies Mark, my response was meant for Jason. I agree about eBay. A contract or agreement is always written to protect the one writing it, and believe me ebay is protected from the seller and buyer. I doubt anyone has ever read through all the pages of their agreement.  (Apr 25, 2012 | post #145)

I agree completely, however the insurance company will pay off if it meets certain requirements. If the seller ended the bidding early and you paid outside of eBay, you can probably quit bothering eBay. Convince your local police you have a valid complaint. Many detectives have a tendency to quit listening when they hear eBay and fraud used in the same sentence. You should find out for sure who the seller was, did the seller ever own the equipment, who has the equipment now, where is the equipment, was there a lien against the equipment at the time of the sale, has the seller recently filed for bankruptcy. I didn't scratch the surface of the questions you need answered. Find out if the seller has any assets to even go after in a civil case. Is the seller married or divorced? Ex spouses and jilted lovers are good when it comes to digging up dirt. Never make a statement against someone unless you can prove the validity of the statement in court. Keep a log of when and who you talked to and what was said. Back it up with copies of your emails and phone bills. Or if money is no problem, hire an attorney. Never hold a grudge, get even, then possibly forgive.  (Apr 24, 2012 | post #143)

The first thing to do is go through the eBay resolution process. Did you have the winning bid and purchase through eBay? Does the equipment qualify for insurance reimbursement? You need to file a complaint with your local police department. Give them all the details to determine if it is a criminal case or civil case. If it is civil, you need to file suit as soon as possible. If it is civil, you are probably screwed. If it is criminal, you may get some satisfaction to see him prosecuted and possibly serve time.  (Apr 23, 2012 | post #141)

To the residents of Dogwood: if you get anything from Ryan you better hurry, he will quite likely have free room and board at the Iron Bar Hotel for a very long time. When PA. gets through with him he gets to enjoy a free escorted trip to Texas. Boy what a life.  (Mar 21, 2012 | post #28)

Ryan, I have always been at peace with my church, family, and people I have had dealings with. I have never cheated anyone in my life. You are correct, many debts can be eliminated through bankruptcy. Unfortunately for you bankruptcy does not get rid of criminal charges of theft and fraud. As far as forgiveness goes, I will forgive you when I get my $50,000 back. Stock up on those beautiful sunsets, you have some dark ones coming.  (Mar 19, 2012 | post #138)

I would still consult an attorney. Some attorneys will offer first consultation for free. I do not know the land lord/tenant laws in PA, but Texas law affords protection for tenants. Consult an attorney.  (Mar 16, 2012 | post #130)
