FBI asked to investigate attack on white family near Fire...

Not true. All whites, blacks and others I've talked to said this is a hate crime. Plain and simple. All condemn this. The public knows better, it's the gov't officials and police department that are trying to keep it quiet.  (Jul 15, 2009 | post #128)

When will the layoffs start for Sterling jewelers?

Seems like it is. Slowly perhaps, but it is.  (Jun 26, 2009 | post #152)

They have. Okay, I only know of one so far. I find it a shame that they wouldn't have let go the foreign visa workers first. Not one was let go.  (May 18, 2009 | post #146)

Getting Warmer... Start Looking for Bikers folks.

With the warm weather starting more and more bikers are dusting off their jackets and getting their bikes out. Please take the time to keep a look out and be aware.  (Mar 5, 2009 | post #1)

Pal? Who uses that expression anymore? maybe that's an southwest thing. Anyways, I will take the well wishes and hope I never, nor you for that matter, need to go there. But, I have eaten there as a guest. It was something special. Remember that most of that money is from donations from employees and from the sale of the "cubby" bears the stores sell. Of course Sterling does also donate on their own but so what? Those children are worth every penny. So, on a serious side, have you found work yet?  (Feb 25, 2009 | post #132)

That explains a lot. Especially since you were a manager.  (Feb 24, 2009 | post #128)

Yes, it is very nice that they funded that Cafe over the last several years to get that finally built and opened.  (Feb 24, 2009 | post #127)

'War on terror' catchphrase fading

War on (fill in the blank) will always loose. War on crime War on drugs War on poverty It doesn't work.  (Feb 1, 2009 | post #2)

14k mark

There should be a stamp on there somewhere (I have used micro stamps for very small or delicate pieces) or at the very least the receipt should say so along with the description of merch.  (Jan 28, 2009 | post #2)

>>Sterling is WELL AWARE of those who are posting during company time << Doubt it being blogs and "news" groups are blocked at 10. But, I agree. Those people should not be posting while at work if they have or are somehow. But if at home, post away. Last time I looked there was still an American flag flying outside. So far I haven't noticed any special or viable information being said here that would violate the no media contract they make them sign. Also, some of these posters that are saying things don;t work for the company anymore anyways. Can't hold them to that "contract " , eh?  (Jan 28, 2009 | post #66)

Friendly Suggestion: Buy American

I would love to buy American. But, what does made in America mean? Does it mean everything, from raw materials to the final product or something that was assembled in America or is it just something that is made elsewhere but since it's sold through an American company it's called American products? Company I work for is located locally. The parent company is in the U.K. I would guess that 98% of our material is from global suppliers. Israel, China, India, Vietnam, Africa, Canada, etc. But, it is assembled and made into what it is by local people.  (Jan 27, 2009 | post #16)
