How far do you live from your hometown?
I was born in Rome NY, moved to Arkansas when I was 5, moved to MA when I was 9ish, moved to MD when I was 12. Have been in Maryland ever since. Not quite sure where my hometown is. I went to 9 different schools growing up. I guess Maryland is home now, I've been here about 25 years now. Will be moving back to MA when housing market improves... (May 12, 2008 | post #951)
Multivehicle collision closes Route 100
Yeah, traffic sucked so bad yesterday. It took me 2 1/2 hours to get home. My boss called me at work at like 4:30 to tell me that there was a multi-vehicle accident on 100 that had it closed. I thought for sure that it would be cleared by the time I left work at 5:15. I tried every back road that I could think of. I had to pick up my son in Marley. 100 was backed up, so I tried Elvaton and that was a mess, so I tried Brightview to Jumpers to Marley Neck, even Marley Neck was backed up with people trying to bail to go to Ft. Smallwood. About 7:45 I started down 10 to 100 from Marley to find traffic still backed up on Mountain back to Magothy Bridge...this was because everyone was letting traffic from Woods onto Mountain. I'm pregnant, was hungry, had to pee and some ass on Brightview decided to cuss me out for not moving 6 feet so that he could go down Jumpers to sit in more traffic. I was looking for a stick in my truck to kick his ass, but I decided that he was just a jerk and he'd just sit in traffic up the street anyhow. Needless to say it I didn't get home till about 8:30. Dumb driver this morning on Rt. 100!
I was driving down 100 westbound this morning. I got in the fast lane near Catherine Ave. to allow some folks to merge onto the highway. There was a white SUV and another car behind it, the SUV was hitting brakes coming down the ramp so the car behind her decided to try to pass her on the shoulder. I looked in my rearview mirror to my amazement, I saw that little car flipping through the air. Why can't people be more patient? He/she was in a real hurry...guess they didn't make it far.
