Concerns raised over 911 center

Mr Henderson you should be ashamed of yourself. Let the West County center stand for itself, and don't use a tragic situation (of which you know only some of the facts) to make your case.  (Apr 9, 2009 | post #9)

Legislator payback

Let's remember our legislators all 253 of them are the second hoghest paid in the US. Only Calif. are paid more. With 67 counties PA could do with 100 legislators not the 253 we have. That alone will save 200 million.  (Apr 7, 2009 | post #4)

Rhodes case turns into war of words

Struck a nerve Rusty? You know that you are grandstanding on this verdict and Friedman called you on it. Thirty-fice pages long? Let's hope you spend half as much time on cases where the defendant is actually a threat to society.  (Apr 6, 2009 | post #7)

Bonus probe suggested

The laugh everyone should get is that some of these companies that have lost billions have tried to legitimize the "bonus" pay by telling us it was for retention. Yeh lets pay to retain these jack as... who lost all the money in the first place. When does this GREED stop?  (Apr 2, 2009 | post #11)

Erie Shriners Hospital for Children might close

Why would the Shriners go after a new CEO in Chuck Walczak if they knew they would be closing? Terrible way to treat a very nice person and a very capable administrator. This is a perfect time for the Shriners to reach out to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (as I think someone else said) for a partnership. Lets keep this very important place open!  (Apr 2, 2009 | post #8)

Bus driver on cell phone

It amazes me that alot of people insist that they can do two things well at the same time. Most don't drive very well, let alone when distracted by cell phone.  (Apr 1, 2009 | post #21)

Millcreek traffic checkpoint nets citations, warnings

What a way to welcome their new chief? How much overtime was used for this resource? one dui and four without license nice catch  (Apr 1, 2009 | post #12)

Change raises college doubts

The non-traditional student now wants on-line courses. When was the last community college founded/started? It would seem better for eveyone for the county to partner with one of the many fine higher ed entities in the region.  (Mar 31, 2009 | post #7)

After the fire

I would certainly think someone could do better. If you have a fire inspector he could certainly require and contract presure testing of all fire hydrants (even the ones on private property). This sin't about balme as much as it is about a fix for something known to be wrong  (Mar 31, 2009 | post #10)

After the fire

Just wondering who's responsibility it is to check the condition of the hydrants? Fire inspector, fire departments lets hope theres not more of this in Millcreek. With part time, volunteer firefighters (as good as they are) is it an oversight? The residents of Millcreek deserve better. Thank GOD there was no loss of life.  (Mar 31, 2009 | post #3)

Bush visit not welcome

Dem or repub, conserv or lib, it's very difficult if not impossible to make a case for W being anything but a buffoon. Regardless of where you hear it there are too many examples of this president understanding only one thing "GREED". He slept through eight years, and awoke to getting paid for speeches. What a wonderful country we live in. W wouldn't know the right thing even if you spelled it for him  (Mar 25, 2009 | post #55)

Bush visit not welcome

Wonder what message W has to impart? Making the most money for your oil and defense industry friends? How to get caught in a trillion dollar war? How Cheney continued to benefit from Haliburton on no bid contracts? Must all be very valuable info for Pontillo and his brethren. Will there be a video?  (Mar 25, 2009 | post #44)

Hearing postponed for teen accused in September slaying

An "expert" is being hired to determine whether shooting your "friend" while committing a robbery after numerous chances in the juvenile system qualifies for a non-adult trial. Let this adult rehab in the right place if convicted!  (Mar 25, 2009 | post #6)

Limbaugh defended

It is a sad day when the republicans admit that Limbaugh is there spokesperson. I am a republican and can't imagine that this person is representing me on any topic! I can find my own way without the rhetoric. It's tiresome reading the conservative vs. liberal banter.  (Mar 24, 2009 | post #26)

Tuition plan sorely needed

Costs for the 08-09 year will be around $15,000.00 taking into account tuition, room and board, and other fees and books. With increase for the next four years it could easily get closer to $75.000.00. You need to make a choice. Either learn a trade or get a degree. The job market doesn't hold much for high school degrees  (Mar 24, 2009 | post #14)
