The rise of Turkey in the Balkans

I see a lot of posters from Kaiserslautern, Germany in the previous pages... What is the matter? But with common style in writing, even typical words traced... Have they opened a school for posters there? Hmmmm...  (Dec 6, 2012 | post #115256)

There is no way you can make a Greek fell jealous of a Turk, no matter how many rises Turkey does... Call it arrogance but this is the way things are.  (Dec 6, 2012 | post #115254)

I thought I would pass by because I visited the Historical Museum of Athens lately and I saw an exhibit...It was Roza Botsari's golden quilted vest... Very touching. Not that many of you care, just an urge. How are you all?  (Dec 6, 2012 | post #115250)

I am fine and I am beautiful :)) It is Friday indeed....! Funny thing how we Greeks are cornered and it is not us who are insecure. I have always thought that striving was our best hit! Too many cushions make us sleep but difficulty awakens us. I drink to that, in fact I will drink to that tonight! Cheers!  (Nov 30, 2012 | post #114086)

The latin word Graecus comes from the greek name Graius/Graeus, used for a greek tribe that lived in the region of mount Olympus. The latin word was derived from a greek/hellenic word, not the other way round. The Ottomans CONQUERED the Greeks but also they BUILT THEIR EMPIRE ON THE FOUNDATIONS THEY FOUND WHEN THEY CAME. If they had relied solely on their nomadic culture they would not have been able to build an empire from scratch. Turks, thank the Eastern Romans with the Greek heritage for the Empire you are so proud of instead of underestimating it just to avoid the deserving gratitude. Be proud of your horses, you should be, but also be proud for the heritage you carry. And cherrish it. Because it made you who you are today.  (Nov 30, 2012 | post #114085)

I am not Priapos but I hate to see you using what I once told you about the "turkish way" against another. I never interfere with people's conversation. In this case I had to. And it is true, Al, Greeks do not kneel.  (Nov 29, 2012 | post #114035)
