I believe it will be for first time home buyers or people who need assistance in purchasing an affordable home. No landlords to buy and then rent out and cash in all over again like they have been doing all along here. We all know they rarely rent out to tenants who care about where they live and want to help keep up a clean looking home. helicopter scanning shirley area sunday 9-20-09

I saw 2 police cars at a home in that area at the time of the helicopter sightings. The front door was closed but a side gate was opened. Not sure if the owner was home since there is also a for sale sign on the lawn. I hope they get these pathetic fools and bring them up on charges.  (Sep 21, 2009 | post #10)

I'm staying put.......... I don't recall if it was Shirley or Mastic, but this occurred here as well about 2 weeks ago. And it was an illegal sober home to boot. The house was shut down after the owner tried to apply for permits to add additions to the house. Glad to see action taking place, but as an incorporated village, we can do this more efficiently than our Town of Brookhaven is doing now.  (Sep 19, 2009 | post #23)
