Yin Yoga Information

Yin yoga is not as popular as other forms of yoga. It is performed to stretch the connective tissues of the body. The important connective tissues such as the hips, thighs and the lower spinal area are exercised and stretched in yin yoga. Yin yoga does not help in stretching the muscles but they do stretch and exercise the bones and joints of the body. This type of meditation is believed to be helpful to a number of people experiencing connective tissue ailments.
