New signs

I think it may have to do with the unincorporated areas of Lawrenceville, vs Lawrenceville city limits. A waste of money, but it's their waste.  (Sep 21, 2011 | post #3)

Mom charged in fatal meth fire gives birth again

Yikes: another birth paid by tax payers. Hope this child can live a better life than his brothers and sisters, without this meth using mom around.  (Sep 19, 2011 | post #1)

You came out with the "cheap insults" in your first reply to me. So, it is apparent, under your precursor, that you are the desperate one with a weak case. Mind you there is nothing for me to be desperate about. I have no skin in the game and am simply sharing my opinion of the case presented by government employed prosecutors. Question; do you think she would have gotten the same verdict with a public defender? Probably not, since in reality, Public Defenders and Prosecutors are all paid from the same public coffers. So, did the fact that the government couldn't collude with one another (Casey's attorney was on Pro Bono) to make a predetermined yet favorable verdict upset you? In your line of work, does anyone that comes into a Public Defenders office actually innocent? Do they even deserve your help? Is that where your issues lie? Just askin.... ;> Have a nice day!  (Sep 19, 2011 | post #13)

Aaahhh, a jaded court employee. Figures. Still, not a juror. It amazes me that you think juries are your patsies. They should tow the line of the court. I've come across a few of you. Think you know it all and you treat citizens like garbage when they do serve. You kiss prosecutor ass, and sear at defendants and their court appointed attorneys. Oh, wait, you've got those lawyers in your pocket. It's the good lawyers you hate. Who know how to deal with your ilk. Time to retire. For the good of justice, justice for all. God Bless.  (Sep 16, 2011 | post #10)

Casey Anthony ordered to pay $97k to Fla.

She admitted she lied to police about her child's disappearance in that she knew the child was dead. While I doubt the state will get the money, I can see this ruling setting a precedence. I wasn't aware that the State or any agency had already filed a civil law actions regarding this.  (Sep 15, 2011 | post #7)

Yes I have. And we were given proper evidence and made the correct verdict what what we were given. I've never said, dear, that she was innocent; she's not guilty, That doesn't mean shes innocent. Intelligent folks don't let "Crime TV" interfere with their ability to judge evidence that is properly given. To say that jurors are their because the "defendants lawyer thinks he can fool a jury" reveals that you have not been on a jury. Or at least made it past the review process. Unless you lied to get on because the person looks guilty. That is scary to know there are people out there so ignorant, such as yourself, that are on jury pools. The likes of Nancy Grace put this case in the headlines for years and I think it effected the prosecution's performance early on and then they had no choice to go for a Capital case. The jury wasn't given the ability to find guilty of a lesser offense such as manslaughter. The blanks you speak of apparently were to far apart for the jury to "fill in", so to speak. I will agree that she will get her's in the end. Let's hope it is OJ style! But do the Justice system a favor; since your are bigoted to a degree, please inform the Jury manager at your local court so you can stay off of a jury. It's the just thing to do. Bless you  (Sep 15, 2011 | post #8)

So what? Doesn't prove murder. You have to prove your case in this country and while the whole thing stinks, the prosecution/invest igators failed their duty. What your doing is ASSuming.  (Sep 13, 2011 | post #6)

The prosecutor's failed to prove their case. Simple. They went after her very hard and in the end, they lost. IMO they should have soft balled her in the beginning and got her to plea to a lesser charge. But the likes of Nancy Grace (and friends) got the prosecutor's in the case all amped up on going for a Capital case. Cooler heads should have prevailed.  (Sep 8, 2011 | post #4)

Gwinnett dispute stops use of radar guns to bust speeders

I believe that in order for the PD to use their tinting meters, your windows have to be partially opened. I was asked to roll my window up in Doraville. I had already gotten a speeding ticket. I refused. He was pissed, called his FTO and that guy tried to get me to roll them up. Nope. They gave up.  (Aug 29, 2011 | post #10)
