Good. Something for me to look up after work. What did I lie about? This is the second time you've brought that up since yesterday.  (Aug 26, 2011 | post #44)

Does that sort of playground stuff really work for you normally? I've made the mistake before of dealing with someone in JR High and just assuming I'm dealing with a slow adult, but usually kids don't put as much typing effort in as you do. And they use more words like "u". ;-) I realized I am almost certainly wasting my time. And since I have a career, it's time to get back to it.  (Aug 26, 2011 | post #43)

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." http://www.youtube .com/watch?v=G2y8S x4B2Sk :-D  (Aug 26, 2011 | post #42)

You blew it. I responded to Gaynuts and he responded back as CRikey. I've seen that before. Nice. ;-) Nice tag team you have going with yourself there. :-D  (Aug 25, 2011 | post #39)

BTW, I LOVE Kentucky. The climate is wonderful and my commute is so much prettier than the one on the left coast. I cannot believe it took me so long to get here.  (Aug 25, 2011 | post #38)

That's pretty funny. You accuse me of not reading it, suggesting that if I had, I would not take the position I do, yet you have not read it. Well let him who has educated himself share with him who has not: I take the position I do BECAUSE I have read it. I'll take it a step further: Islam is a political system covered in a thin coating of false religion. It should be treated as the German American bund was. It should not be able to be protected as "religion " any more than Nazism was. But then, as in the early 1940's with the German American Bund, eventually that will be all too clear. Soon, grasshopper. Very soon. If not late this year, definitely next year.  (Aug 25, 2011 | post #37)

You're an amateur. Pro's don't just accuse me of lying. They point out how they are lies. What you are doing is just slightly wordy ad-hominem. Not as wordy as the other guy, gay something or other, though. Just calln' it as I sees it... ;-)  (Aug 25, 2011 | post #36)

I'll add another one. You are being intentionally obtuse. ;-) I already said that was one site, there are many, many more that contain the koran in it's enirety as well as the hadith. And yest, I've read it. I am pretty convinced you haven't though. By the way, your profiling was so off I assume you were not really serious. I wont get into specifics, but right off the bat you are off by several decades. You see, 9/11 wasn't the start. It was the end. The Israeli Olympic team was the start, for me at least. And that is just the Islam thing. It doesn't even get into my Christian faith. But I do think you are just baiting. You're trying to glean information that you suspect I do not want to share. That's not true though. Heck, I'm not really even anonymous. The only thing that messes this up is that apparently my IP address tells topix I am in Nashville. I'm not. I'm in Campbellsville.  (Aug 25, 2011 | post #35)

I think one of three things is true here: 1. You are projecting. 2. You are attempting to bait me. 3. You are trolling in an attempt to get the post count up, either because you are paid to do so or you like to debate even more than I do. We may want to strike that last part. So far all I've seen from you is a bunch of unsupported allegations. I also think I am the first one you have come up against who actually HAS read the koran. That is why I view it the way I do. I come from knowledge. BTW, here is a fun exercise. You mention context. Well, there is not only written context. There is also historical context. That is, what were the events going on contemporaneous with the writing of the two books and; in the vein of "judge a tree by its fruit", have you read any history on Mohammed? If it were not so serious it would be funny. Rage? My friends call me "Mr Spock" when I'm "wronged ". ;-) You're being silly. :-D  (Aug 25, 2011 | post #32)

What new found belief? And what rose colored glasses are you speaking of? Is it the truth of the bible? Bible prophesy? The eternal promise of eternal life through the sacrificial blood and resurrection of Jesus? I accepted Christ in 1981 and have studied bible prophesy since 1883. And the Koran (read more than studied) in 2001. Nothing "new" there for me. BTW, I am not "cherry picking" your posts. I'm just responding to points one by one, which I will finish when I get back from work.  (Aug 25, 2011 | post #25)

That's your take. My take is "there is a way that seems right to man, but its end is death." It occurs twice in proverbs.  (Aug 25, 2011 | post #24)

That wasn't for me. That was for people that read my post. After 911 I finally read the koran. No, not any "abridged " version. As I said in a previous post, it is very easy to find the whole thing on the internet at many sources, just as it is the bible. The good news is that it is a LOT shorter, as is the hadith. And anyone with good reading comprehension can see it is a book, like the BOM, written by a man, not inspired by God. Laughably so, actually.  (Aug 25, 2011 | post #23)

Two things: 1. That quote from me came from a post totally unrelated to your remark. 2. Unless someone quotes an entire article, they can ALWAYS be accused of cherry picking. It isn't cherry picking until you can show me the context that proves it. "Cherry picking" is merely an accusation, that may or may not be true. Just sayin' it does not make it so. Unless you want me to post several hours worth or reading material, "cherry picking, as you call it, is all that is reasonable. And I DID link to the ENTIRE koran, for those who want to make up their own minds. :-)  (Aug 25, 2011 | post #22)

Best Donuts

I went on a diet about 13 years ago and lost 55 lbs. Part of it was altering the way you look at foods. Sugar actually pulls B vitamins out of your body on its way out. I'm a non-smoker. I learned to look at the donut shelf at the grocery store like I look at the cigarette section: It's bad stuff to simply be avoided - always. Boy, did I get my energy back. Poor diet kills more Americans than smoking. Obesity is no laughing matter, and fat kills, not to mention the adult onset diabetes, followed by losing your feet/legs, and general loss of energy. Next thing you know you're cruising Wal-mart in the electric cart because you're just too darned fat and tired to get through the whole store. It happens to good people, and it is very sad. BTW, the lemon filled are my favorite.  (Aug 24, 2011 | post #63)

I'm thinking you didn't read it. I offered it as one site that offers the koran. There are many others. Just as one can use blueletterbible.or g or biblegateway.com to study the bible, there are tons of sites one can use to study the koran as well as the hadith. From the site above; "This is an electronic version of The Holy Qur'an, translated by M.H. Shakir and published by Tahrike Tarsile Qur'an, Inc., in 1983. The text was provided by the Online Book Initiative and subsequently marked up at the HTI in SGML. Like all the versions of this text derived from the Online Book Initiative, it is not free from errors and represents the text as published. We will strive to correct any transcription errors pointed out to us. " If you don't like that one, read any of the others. Just use google. It's a short book.  (Aug 24, 2011 | post #19)
