Murphy Arts District open house

The gifts were: little frisbees, cowbells, and coffee cozies (1 of each) also spudnuts and PJ's coffee. We had to sign releases and wear hardhats because it was a dangerous mess. They claim the restaurant will seat 300 and be affordable to everyone. Very hard to believe. Kids' water park will be free. Phase I supposed to open in September (also very hard to believe)  (Saturday Feb 18 | post #1)

Average number of sexual partners

My number in the '70s and '80s was only about a dozen. I remember most of their names and feel a little guilty I took advantage, but I was never family-man material. (They were mostly single moms already.) There were lots more I wasted time on but failed to win. I wish I'd gotten that out of my system earlier so I could have put my time to better use. It seems like ego plus hormones, in retrospect. Notches in my gun.  (Jan 15, 2017 | post #17)

I wish if people want to moralize about this they'd make an effort to get the facts straight first: could the people watching tell she was ill? did they pass around the link saying "lol she's dying"? does facebook even let you replay live videos from the start or were they tuning in to an empty screen and the sound of gasping? i'd feel weird calling 911 about a video that could have been a prank, and i'd expect people who knew her better to be more responsible. (can we know who was watching and what they were thinking?)  (Jan 8, 2017 | post #1)

SouthArk Library and Hoopla

Something I missed: you only get eight items a month even if you return them early. Their selection of music cds is especially good, with much better sound than youtube I think.  (Jan 6, 2017 | post #3)

SouthArk Library and Hoopla

If you have a SouthArk College Library/ID card, you can 'borrow' free ebooks and movies and music from hoopladigital.com You have to type in your card ID number (long) and a short pin they may need to set up by phone. Then you can browse their online selection, which is moderate-sized hit-or-miss where you're pretty likely to find a few useful titles. They limit you to eight items at once with time limits of a few days to a few weeks depending on the media-- after that it magically vanishes from your player.  (Jan 5, 2017 | post #1)
