Belmont looking to fill ABC board

The same kind of people who serve on church boards, charitable organizations, city committees, etc. In other words, civic minded people.  (Jun 5, 2016 | post #2)

The real reason the trains left the Belmont Depot!

Are you a lawyer or liability insurance expert?  (May 19, 2016 | post #15)

I'll bet Mr. Pepitone would be happy to give you the last rail car if you'll pay to have it moved. Why don't you ask him?  (May 17, 2016 | post #11)

Whether you like it or not, the law is clear. Mr. Pepitone runs his business based on facts and not on the emotional opinion of an unrelated busy body.  (May 15, 2016 | post #9)

I'm sure they took the advice of their lawyers and insurance company. http://definitions .uslegal.com/a/att ractive-nuisance/  (May 14, 2016 | post #6)

Whatever their reason for selling the rail cars, the point is that they owned them and have a right to do as they please with them. We still have private property rights in this country.  (May 13, 2016 | post #3)

Public schools like most other government run entities have no incentive to strive for excellence. They get the money no matter how well they perform and the children whose parents can't afford independent or private school get the shaft. The answer is vouchers and parental choice!  (Apr 25, 2016 | post #3)

Adrian Miller's Folly

The basis for all your posts under all of your user names is your opposition to alcohol. How refreshing it would be if you would show us the courage of your convictions by using your real name!  (Apr 21, 2016 | post #5)

Adrian Miller's Folly

First, most buildings are eye sores while under construction. Second, Mr. Miller is a city employee not an elected official.  (Apr 20, 2016 | post #2)

Sorry, friend, that's a fuel oil tank for an oil furnace. There were three gasoline tanks which were much bigger.  (Mar 31, 2016 | post #14)

BTW, I also witnessed the tanks being removed since the station was across the street from my office.  (Feb 25, 2016 | post #9)

There are no records. That was the point in removing the tanks before the rule went into effect.  (Feb 25, 2016 | post #8)

If Belmont world have stayed away from selling alcohol

A vibrant central business district that is the envy of neighboring towns. Restaurants. Better grocery stores because they can sell beer and wine. Young natives who stay here or return after college. More young families. There was plenty of drinking in Belmont before legal alcohol sales. A lot of it was done illegally including in cars and associations which I won't name. As I said in a previous post, anti-alcohol forces never let the truth get in the way of their narrative.  (Sep 2, 2015 | post #28)
