EXCELLENT! Good to hear things are going well. Give me a shout when you get back in town. Tell everyone at the clinic I said hello, please.  (Feb 21, 2016 | post #7625)

How did it go DBronx? We need to meet up again soon, grab a cup of joe and chat about your trip. I want to see those new chompers! ;)  (Feb 19, 2016 | post #7622)

Awesome news Donna! So glad you made it back with a positive experience although I had no doubt you would. Dr. Anglada is a wonderful soul. As regards to the other person's traumatic experience at another clinic, I think I know which clinic you are referring to but if you do tell the story here, it's probably best to keep it general. Such as not naming the clinic, doctors and of course the patient. In the past things like that have started up heated "discussions " here on the forums. I would definitely be interested in the full details so if you get a chance to PM me I would appreciate it. Would love to hear more about your experience so when you get the time, please do tell. On a personal note, I have tentative plans to head down to CR late 2016 for vacation. I'll probably drop by DDS Clinic (Prada) for a check up and to say hi to everyone, but besides that I'll be kicking back on some yet to be decided Costa Rican beach! I may even scout around a bit for my next home. Can't wait!!!!  (Oct 27, 2015 | post #7417)

I want to apologize for those of you who sent me a private message through Topix. It's been awhile since I checked and wow, that'll teach me. I've just now responded to everyone and again please accept my apologies for slacking. If anyone needs to talk to me via Skype, cell or personal email about my experience and what I've learned, feel free to send me a personal message on this forum by clicking on the little envelope icon to the right of my name/picture. Hope all is well with the "regulars " here. I'm currently taking time off work to recover from shoulder surgery (not fun at all) and wishing I was in CR for some R&R. Oh well...someday.  (Oct 13, 2015 | post #7392)

How has everyone been? Good I hope. Everything still going extremely well on my end...no problems at all with the new chompers (now over a year old). I miss CR and want to go back so bad and explore new parts of the country...east coast maybe. Anyway it's been a long time since I checked the forum and just wanted to say hi.  (Aug 16, 2015 | post #7289)

Oh it's coming. I decided to just wait and do a 1 year follow up. I think I'll do it in a video and post it to the blog instead of writing it out. But yes...probably didn't get to the wrap up post as soon as I had hopped because I was just burned out from all the research, and all things dental. It's been a year and hope to get the video done within a week or two.....or three ;)  (May 27, 2015 | post #7073)

I stayed at the Ringle Resort for a night...or was it 2...and it's a very nice and small boutique hotel. Spendy but oh so beatiful. Not real close to much though. Would need a taxi or rental car. Since you have decided on NOVA ask them about hotel discounts. They had 1 or 2 at the time I interviewed Dr. Obando for my blog.  (May 25, 2015 | post #7054)

After graduating many work under already established doctors/clinics. Then move on to build their own practices.  (May 25, 2015 | post #7053)

I contacted the Gil clinic during my initial research...EXPENSIVE! Very experienced, talented and an extremely nice clinic but they had the highest prices of all the places I contacted...at least for the treatment that I was looking for.  (Mar 20, 2015 | post #6924)

Oh believe me I wasn't trying to rationalize anything...just sharing a story that happened to me. If I had an appointment with Prada's team and then realized Prada wouldn't be there, I would be ticked!!  (Feb 13, 2015 | post #6788)

Yeah in that case I would have rescheduled if Gonzalez told me that. Gonzalez is a very talented and skilled implantologist but he can be a bit cocky and strong headed in his ways.  (Feb 11, 2015 | post #6781)

Good point. Always confirm and reconfirm. Heck when I had my last appointment with my local doctor here in the states, I showed up on time and was informed that the doctor was on vacation. They had failed to contact me regarding the change. As I walked out I overheard another patient who had showed up right behind me being told the same thing...they forgot to tell her as well. I never had any miscommunication problems like that with Prada or his team but it's good to C.Y.A just in case.  (Feb 11, 2015 | post #6779)

I researched dentists in smaller towns of CR. There are many good ones to be found (based on testimonials from people I talked with). I almost went with one in Quepos in fact. My decision on going to Prada had nothing to do with his San Jose location, just happened that way. I urge everyone who is researching to look beyond San Jose as there are many qualified doctors out there away from the capital city.  (Feb 10, 2015 | post #6777)
