David Patton gets final chance Saturday to make Chicago C...

True enough. And the MUCH LESS Vizcaino, the better. Awful is too good a word to describe his work. I'd keep Guzman for sure.  (Apr 4, 2009 | post #2)

Chicago Cubs bullpen still a muddle

How does Vizcaino have a roster spot guaranteed? He's the worst of the worst!  (Apr 2, 2009 | post #1)

Tackle Orlando Pace visits Chicago Bears

Watch JA: he'll sign Pace, an aging dinosaur, just like he signed Adam Archuleta. After all, Archuleta played for Lovie back in the day. No problem that he couldn't run, tackle or cover anyone anymore. And how about his friend Jonathan Quinn? That 3 year contract really paid off--for Mr. Quinn. He was awful. JA is completely unable to evaluate talent.  (Mar 31, 2009 | post #43)

Hill named Cubs' backup catcher

I hope Koyie hits .391 during the regular season . . . . TRADE GAUDIN.  (Mar 30, 2009 | post #1)

Ain't that the truth! Blanco could hit, field, and he really wanted to win. I don't get it . . . . I'll tell you Hill has made the team. They'll say "He's a switch hitter." Hah! He can't hit from either side. The truth will be that he is $300k cheaper.  (Mar 27, 2009 | post #5)

Chicago Cubs' Rich Harden looks good against minor-leaguers

Cotts is way too inconsistant. He's very wild. I wish we had something better as our lefty in the 'pen.  (Mar 25, 2009 | post #1)

Kevin Gregg, Carlos Marmol making manager Lou Piniella's ...

I'd close with Gregg, and keep Marmol saving the game in the 7th and 8th innings.  (Mar 24, 2009 | post #1)

29-year-old first baseman/outfielder Micah Hoffpauir on p...

And Jake Fox ought to make the team, too. He's a hitter--having a Spring almost as good as Hoffpauir--but he probably won't. Funk-o-dome is hitting his usual .218 in the WBC, about what he hit after last May (.208). His $50 million contract guarantees his roster spot. But Fox will be at AAA Iowa, waiting for a chance to play. Yes, I know Fox can't play center. But Funko can't play at all. Maybe Fox can backup Aram. We need his bat.  (Mar 23, 2009 | post #6)

Ozzie sizes up his roster

They are waiting to pick someone up off of the waiver wire on the last day. They can't possibly be serious about keeping this guy on the roster, can they? Beyond that the bullpen look horrendous. I am going to buy stock in Peptobismol.  (Mar 22, 2009 | post #4)

Ex-Cub Scott Eyre not bitter, loves life with Phillies

Thank God and Greyhound he's gone. Those 33 consecutive appearances without giving up a run was due to pitching 1/3 of an inning at a time. Line drives were hit off of him everywhere. As ineffective as they come, he's worse than Frank DiPino. The Cubs won't miss him. He's a millionaire, so why be bitter?  (Mar 22, 2009 | post #3)

9 reasons to worry about Chicago Cubs

The man is right: the team is weaker in 2009 than in 2008. Weaker in CF, C, INF, Bench, Bullpen, and depth in minors. Yep, 3rd place in 2009. The Cards have a better manager and bigger bats. If Dusty didn't manage the Reds, they could make a run for it.  (Mar 22, 2009 | post #79)

Chicago Bears' Devin Hester must show progress quickly

I have my doubts about Hester's ever becoming a real #1 receiver. He's really a slot guy, but the Bears do not see it. And putting him back in the return game will prove to be pointless, imho. I think his return game is shot. Thankfully we got some good returns out of Manning.  (Mar 20, 2009 | post #9)

Chris Williams more critical than ever for Chicago Bears

We sound like Lion's fans? The Lions were 0-16 last year, and we just hired their coach. I think we really DO have something to scream about.  (Mar 20, 2009 | post #63)

Limbaugh hopes America fails? Really?

I am tired of a liberal press that distorts the truth everytime. So I am going to say it: I want the Tribune to fail. I want the liberal press to fail. I want TRUTHFUL and ACCURATE reporting.  (Mar 10, 2009 | post #2010)
