Redbox's Machines Take On Netflix's Red Envelopes
In defense of Netflix, I must correct the error stating that Netflix offers two videos a month for $5. Actually, it's $5 a month for two videos at a time. You can return any video at any time and you will receive another one usually within the next business day for no extra cost. That is to say, as many videos as you can watch and return in one month for $5.00. If you do it right, you can easily watch 15-20 videos a month for that $5. Plus, you can keep the videos for as long as you wish with no late fee unlike the Redbox. (Jun 23, 2009 | post #1)

Israeli army takes war against Hamas into Gaza
The sad part is that there is a shortage of local news to import. I have quite a few resources myself but usually there is nothing worthwhile unless you just write your own articles. Maybe somebody should go out and do something really newsworthy... or scandalous. (Jan 4, 2009 | post #3)
Israeli army takes war against Hamas into Gaza
Okay, this is getting ridiculous. Are you having some sort of editor contest with Topwop? Is Gaza city anywhere near Coffeyville? Why do you insist on posting so many irrelevant articles? This is not the news station. This is not a place to post every single news article that tickles your fancy. This is the Coffeyville Topix News. People come here to check on things related to town. There are thousands of other Topix pages for other news. Since this is the Coffeyville page. Please keep it as such. (Jan 3, 2009 | post #1)
WHO SAID ENVELOPE STUFFERS DOESN'T WORK?
With so many gullible people asking for info, I can understand why such scams are highly profitable. I tell you what... I have the information you seek. It won't make you a millionaire overnight but it could easily supplement your existing income or at least line your pockets with a few extra bucks. If you have $5.00 to invest in your future and don't mind putting in a few hours of easy work a week, contact me at zwolla@gmail.com to make arrangements. (Jan 3, 2009 | post #345)
Volunteers Get Intoxicated, Show Dangers Of Driving Drunk
You can bank on that. Not only would I advise implementing the designated driver program (if you're going to be out drinking), I'd also recommend ensuring that your vehicle is completely legal and that all passengers buckle up for safety. (Dec 31, 2008 | post #2)
Didn't one of their star players get in some kind of trouble and wound up getting kicked out of school? (Sep 4, 2008 | post #4)
They certainly weren't at their best. (Sep 3, 2008 | post #2)
Are smaller towns becoming a mecca for drug traffic???
Coffeyville like many mid-size towns along the Peruvian pipeline are natural targets for drug trafficking. You see, the drugs are shipped up north from South America along main highways and interstates where they stop off at small towns along the way. Cities like Coffeyville and Arkansas City are too small to normally have DEA agents but large enough to support a middle man which buys the drugs and sells them locally in town and in nearby counties. And wherever there is a market, there is competition. I can almost say for a fact that Montgomery County has enough homegrown weed and indigenous methamphetamine to get the entire states population higher than a kite. It doesn't have any thing to do with our city in particular. It's more along the lines of legal issues, money and man power. And then of course there is always the conspiracy theory. That is that they, the government, in turn makes money off of the whole deal somehow in the long run. (Jul 12, 2008 | post #2)

Should Commissioner Billie Lewark-Wood be Recalled
Could there really be such a thing as a non-biased partisan within the realm of politics, in small-town USA, or anywhere for that matter? (Apr 30, 2008 | post #9)
Hundreds of jobs headed to Coffeyville
I do not believe that name would be conducive to our tourism. Plus it's unduly long. (Apr 25, 2008 | post #21)
