Is Six Flags Great America Closing?

uh, when the majority of Europeans came here the entered thru Ellis island LEGALLY. If this is some sort of comment of the colonization of the new world, show me where any laws where established to prevent the settlers from settling. You can't because almost all tribes had no concept of private land ownership and moved freely thru the land. Compare to now where yes there are laws against illegal entry AND system to allow immigration in a safe orderly manner. If anything we should work to make the LEGAL immigration system more efficient while working to STOP ILLEGAL immigration.  (Jun 30, 2010 | post #57)

Which is why he was released on 75 dollar bail. But in this day and age a 41 year old ought to know better than to do something stupid like this.  (Mar 18, 2010 | post #3)

not so much a walmart problem, more of a Round Lake one. Many establishments I have had the misfortune of being in, in the RL area, I have witness similar behaviors. It is really bad when they handle food...  (Feb 18, 2010 | post #188)

And you utterly miss my point which directly addresses your point quite directly. But that is ok, I understand that happens when someones arguments tend to be cut and paste talking points. Your Bolshevik example is pretty funny.  (Feb 8, 2010 | post #17865)

Ahh you miss my point entirely. I am in favor of allowing any two consenting adults to marry. I believe the reality that counts is that of love and compatability. Only the two in that relationship can make that determination. My point in the above referenced post was your notion that marriage should be rooted in some sort of Darwinian concepts of what is good for procreation. You try to claim the only reality that applies to marriage is that of who can procreate, I merely pointed out that one could argue that monogamous relationships will hinder procreating more than polyamorous relationships. Should we adopt Mormon family structures if we take the procreation arguement as the reality that counts? In closing, I believe it is you who discredits the instituion of marriage by reducing to some sort of biological arguement.  (Feb 6, 2010 | post #17856)

Funny. I am merely extrapolating your argument to its logical end.  (Feb 4, 2010 | post #17852)

Marriage restricts natural selection. The most verile of males should be free to impregnate as many of the most select females they can; if nature were the only consideration when it comes to considering marriage. Marriage is a deviancy to nature.  (Feb 3, 2010 | post #17848)

So you agree then that the marriage for heteros only argument due to reproduction is not valid? Since clearly marriage restricts the natural order of our reproduction. Maybe only gays should marry and leave us hetero males free to impregnate as many women as we can.  (Jan 28, 2010 | post #17829)

Strictly speaking marriage could be viewed as bad for the evolution of our species. Wouldn't our species be better served if the healthiest most verile males were free to procreate with as many of the most healthy and verile of women? Marriage has little to do with being beneficial to any species, it is purely a social thing, and to the government it is a bilatteral contract.  (Jan 28, 2010 | post #17815)

Well, I believe in the soul, the small of a woman’s back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated @#&*.
