Stop gun violence

That's why I said let's stay on topic. If you want to debate abortion and all the arguments surroundin it, then start another discussion. Once subject at a time. sometimes folks can get a bit confused when jumping back and forth between subjects and then next thing you know it, tempers really get to going. -+  (Apr 3, 2013 | post #489)

Easy now, this site was dedicated toward gun control and the 2nd amendment, so please let's stick to that. If you wish to carry on the debate of abortion, then start a forum dedidcated to just that. Mixing abortion in this forum does nothing but provoke even more anger (and even stupidity) as the debate get more and more intense. Although I understand both side of the abortion debate I believe both sides of the interest would be better served on a specific forum dedicated strictly toward the subject of Abortion.  (Feb 17, 2013 | post #279)

Richard Salcido, charge filed: Lewd Molestation

That's why I said I would think somoene with that kind of record and facihg additional charges, of which there is apparently 2 seperate lewd molestation charges, one wou;d be ordered to wear one, bu then again this is Adair county and if I'm not mistaken, the accused has to pay for the cost so that would likely never happen. I'm sorry. i wished I could answer your questions and have actual answers that were postivit for community safety, but i don't. but then I also don't know this young man very well nor the in and outs of all his charges except that to me I would think an intelligent judge and one interested in protecting the community would ensure he remained incarcerated until his guilt or innocence is determined by a jury. It's not as if this is his first charge and there are some questions, very much the opposite. It bothers me to know that if he is truely the monster all these charges represent, he is still very capable of harming others not to mention that some grief stricken and angered parent or other family member decides the judicial system isn't doing their job in protecting our community and even more importantly our young people, opt to take matters in their own hands leaving yet another family destroyed as it will do no good for a hard working family man (or woman) to spend the rest of their life in jail or even receive the death penalty. I know I'm old, but so much of this just seems backwards if not just plain wrong- at least for the innocent.  (Feb 13, 2013 | post #28)

Now I know there's supposed to be a daycare down that little road as if you were going up to the mountain past Carson's called nana's or something of the sort. Is that where you're talking about? I noticed a sign some time ago at the 4-way stop as I was taking that short cut to hwy 100 from hwy 51. In fact I remember there being complaints made on here about the place. Is that the one you're referring to?  (Feb 11, 2013 | post #206)

Unfortunately, that's the justice system. Very often defendents are able to have their court dates continued for many months and in fact I've seen some who were able to avoid it for well over a year actually closer to 2 years if you really get down to it. By then, defendents are often able to obtain fairly lenient plea agreements and more likely to obtain probation and/or suspended or deferred sentences and no prison time. However, considering the charges (and being the 2nd time)and his lengthy history I would think he would be ordered to wear an ankle braclet, but then I don't really know the young man and have only seen him once or twice so he may very well have one. And as we have seen over and over, some attorneys are able to obtain much better outcomes for their clients than others.  (Feb 11, 2013 | post #25)

I believe that's the point ocf the conversation. Not only have the police been notified he has been charged. The debate or rather voices of disgust is that someone who not only has a laundry list of charges, including felony intimidation of a witness, now has a 2nd lewd molestation charge filed against him. Although I realize one is innocent until proven guilty, these are very serious charges and difficult to see them bond out and back on the streets. If one looks at other who face similar charges in other counties, either they are held without bond nor their bond is extremely high and sometimes are required to wear an ankle monitering device- none of which this young man faced that I've seen or heard. We'll just have to wait for the wheels of the justice system go around and hope that he received a long prison snetence if indeed he is guilty.  (Feb 9, 2013 | post #20)

Unfortunately, that's the judicial system at work. In fact, I think I even remember seeing his bond revoked for failure to appear, but later had the arrest warrant squashed, but I could be thinking of someone else. Still, one would think either the bond would be extremely high or he would be remanded, especially considering the fact that this is the 2nd time he's had lewd molestation charges filed as well as various other charges over the years, That's my problem with the judicial system as well as others demanding more laws. Here's a novel idea. How about we enforce the laws we already have and actually sentence true punishments not the proverbial slap on the wrist and threaten jail/prison time next time and then it goes on again and again repeatedly. I'm all for 2nd chances but after a half dozen times, perhaps it's time to go a different route. What is the incentive to follow the laws when you're never punished for breaking them? I must admit I was pretty shocked he was granted bail (not to mention it was pretty low considering it is the 2nd time it is a sex cime as well as his not so clean history). But perhaps there is more to the story. I don't know nor was I at any of the hearings, but still it's a bitter pill to swallow and I think we need changes.  (Feb 8, 2013 | post #15)

Once again, I can see that it's obvious you don't care too much for Mr. Crozier, but you've never said why you dislike the man so much. Instead, you fill the forum with fictional and often demeaning stories. Perhaps,if we understood why you have such discontent for the man you mgith ganrer support instead of just being thought of as someone who is just bitter and should be ignored. The man hasn't worked for Ozarks in quite some time and frankly I can't really see where he could have affected power outages-unless of course you failed to pay the bill, but even that has nothing to do with having your power cut off as it's something everyone must do or face the power being cut and it certainly never had anything to do wi. However, I am rather impressed at your talent for creativity and ability to write short stories. You're obviously talented and instead of wasting your time here, perhaps you should actually use that talent and who knows, become a well known and highly paid author. But, I just can't see how filling this forum up with basically garbage does anything for you or anyone else. In fact you may actually, have folks lean toward Mr.Crozier's defense. I'd like to se you use your talent as I believe you can be much more than just a garbage site author where you'll never earn a dime.  (Feb 8, 2013 | post #198)

Naturally, nothing is being said aboutthe 11 year old girl who was forced to shot 2 male instruders whiletrying to protect herself anda sibling. One male was died on the spot while the other was able to stumble outside before collapsing and dying. Both men were violent criminals and one had a loaded weapon on him he had stolen from a guy earlier after murdering him.  (Feb 7, 2013 | post #214)

Unfortunately,he was allowed to post bond, which is somewhat surprising since he has been in near constant trouble just in the last year alone, including another lewd molestation charge and intimidation of a witness. Since I don't know the young man, I obviously am not really in a position to say whether or not he could possible be capable of what he's accused of doing. But one has to doubt his innocence when he has multiple charges, including felonies and his bonds alone add up enough to pay someone a very nice salary. Perhaps finally sending him away to serve a few years of actual prison time would help reform his behavior. At the very least he would be off the streets and unable to harm the innocent.  (Feb 7, 2013 | post #13)

that why I say there are ways to at least attempt to get it repaired, if not recoup your money. If you are having a problem with something that is suppposed to be covered in your "written " warranty and they are refusing to honor it, then file a small claims suit. But more importantly, you can file a complaint to the state insurance commission, whichwill go alot further if you can get others who are having the same problem. If indeed, they are not honoring a warranty, especially if you had to pay extra, it is called fraud. Try that route and maybe you'll be able to get some answers and help.  (Feb 4, 2013 | post #18)

Well said. Simply disliking them isnt reason enough to impeach someone, especially the higher up the food chain. Good Luck and wish you all the best  (Feb 2, 2013 | post #8)

The simple fact is that you are buying a USED vehicle. Unfortunately, most used cars are sold as is and you kind of have to expect there to some kind of problem, not to mention the older the vehicle the better change you will have problems and often are really buying someone else's problem. Since I have never seen nor know anything about warranties being purchased, I imagine it only covers things such as the major items or lists so many exceptions that it's basically worthless. Point is that used vehicles are more likely to have problems and its best if you have a mechanic look at it or try to obtain a warranty that covers things you are concerned about- not that they'll give it to you. But, if a car lot is selling warranties and they refuse to fix items that are supposed to be covered and you believe they are committing blatant fraud, then report it to those who issue their licenses and those whose job it is to keep watch on such things. Another option is small claims court, but being a small town, not sure how much good it would really do. Good Luck and hopefully you folks will be able to resolve things and in your favor!  (Feb 2, 2013 | post #13)
