Doctors get caught in alleged Madoff scheme

You are exactly right. Anyone who has invested in a 401k that has nothing left to it because of a greedy bastard has no clue what they are talking about. And the comments they are making are only because of their ignorance. I guess they can't help that since they were born that way!  (Dec 17, 2008 | post #35)

Doctors get caught in alleged Madoff scheme

If the "worker bees" cannot recoup neither can the doctors.....HELLO! !!! The total 401k is gone, you cannot get money out of thin air. The doctors cannot recoup anything either, it's lost. What don't you understand?  (Dec 17, 2008 | post #34)

A wish from pwilson

The world needs more Pwilsons! A man after my own heart. Count your blessings. I like to share these ten things; short excerpts by Steve Moeller: 1) Go for a walk. Walking enhances people's mood. 2) Count your blessings. Count your blessings and spend five minutes each day focusing on things you're grateful for in your life." 3) Stop watching the (bad) news. Switch off the TV, your mood will be elevated one more notch.(Kill your TV). 4) Engage in active play. Engage in a leisure activity at least once each week. 5) Exercise to music. When we are depressed we ruminate on our problems, focusing on how horrible everything is and obsessing about worst-case scenarios. This reinforces negative emotions and drives us deeper into despair. Exercise will make you feel better. 6) Commit random acts of kindness. We get a joyous rush from altruistic acts. Commit at least three random acts of kindness each day, such as feeding someone else's parking meter, paying the expressway toll for the car behind him, holding a door open for someone or inviting someone to cut in line in front of him. 7) Smile. Our emotions change our physiology, but our physiology also changes our emotions. When we smile big, our bodies release endorphins, which reduce stress and make us feel better. 8) Relive a highly positive experience. When researchers want to put their subjects into a positive emotional state, they ask them a simple question: "Can you remember a specific time when you felt so happy that you wanted to jump for joy?" The subjects then spend three minutes remembering that experience and writing down what they were doing and what it felt like. Voilą!-instant positive emotions. So make a list of some of your past peak experiences. 9) Give to your favorite cause. Contributing money to a worthy cause lights up pleasure centers in the brain. The giver actually experiences more happiness than the receiver. 10) Laugh with a friend. The old adage that laughter is the best medicine turns out to be true. Laughter engages all of our muscles, causing us to breathe deeply, which oxygenates the blood and releases endorphins. Nothing generates more endorphins than talking with a good friend who always cracks you up. Keep the Faith I think Pwilson is a great person!  (Dec 17, 2008 | post #36)

Dream comes true for blacks

The one thing about Barack Obama being "black" is a wake up call to blacks in general. You will have to work harder, there will not be any special hand outs, so stop thinking things will be easier for you. You will have to prove yourselves now, because a "black" man has become President; you have no excuse now to blame your "misfortunes " on others. No black person today can cry "No opportunities, racial discrimination, etc". And you know why?.........becau se we will have a "black" president. To name a few successful's that will prove this point....Colin Powell, Ophra Winfrey, Condoleezza Rice, Bill Cosby, the list goes on - there are judges, lawyers, doctors, etc some who are very successful blacks, and if they can do it, so can all the whiners that just want to sit back and get handouts while watching Jerry Springer and teaching their kids to hate. So get off your butts and stop whining, there is work to be done.  (Nov 5, 2008 | post #29)

Should English be the Official National Language ?

Columbus wasn't the first (if at all) to step foot on the US. It was the English that took over from Europe. Italians came over on the boat to Ellis Island as many others did. The American Indian was here first, maybe that should be the language taught?  (Nov 5, 2008 | post #90)

Man caught after wild I-95 chase

This doesn't only happen to men. It happens to women also. I feel for him and I understand his pain. I don't condone what he did, but I really undersand his feelings. No, not all men are what you described and not all women are either. It happens to both.  (Oct 27, 2008 | post #24)

Have you walked in his shoes??? By your name I am assuming you are male. How forgiving would you be in a situation where your significant other betrayed you? I hope you never have to experience his pain.  (Oct 27, 2008 | post #23)
