Photo Blog: Sunrise at Pleasure Point

By the way...I took that photo myself at about 6:50 to 7 am this morning, so I know for a fact that it was sunrise.  (Dec 2, 2010 | post #6)

Obviously, you are not a local. We live at the top of the Monterey Bay so we face South East. Therefore, the sun rises in the Eastern direction over the bay. You should try being up before noon & maybe you could see that.  (Dec 2, 2010 | post #4)

The officer that was overpowered fought as best she could. I wish I knew what HER feelings were about escorting this animal all by herself. Was this her decision? I feel awful for her. Everyone treating her like a "weak female". This guy could have taken anyone. Her supervisor is at fault!  (Nov 29, 2010 | post #435)

LGBTQ prom set for Cabrillo: Funding controversy does not...

I am shocked by the hatred & negativity in these comments! If you don't like the LGBTQ prom, DON'T GO! Gays are always left out of the "normal" high school activities and I think this is a wonderful idea! No one said that heteros aren't invited...it says "Open to the public". Maybe heteros need to learn to read a little better. This sounds like a wonderful event. I missed my prom and may just go to this one...even if I am old!  (Nov 28, 2010 | post #35)

School custodians are SO under appreciated. I just watched a great movie about them called The Philosopher Kings that really made me appreciate what they do & how little thanks they get. Rest in Peace, Daniel. Thank you for all you did!  (Nov 23, 2010 | post #1)

Local pot growers fear being edged out of market with Pro...

Ya know....those growers made a LOT of money for a LONG time. Now, if it's legal, they may have to get creative. The pot business has become a HUGE money maker for these guys & they're just afraid that Prop 19 will cut into their profits. Maybe they should go in to consulting & teaching others how to grow their own. Stop the greed!!!  (Oct 30, 2010 | post #5)

Two arrested in coast-to-coast pot selling deal

That's EXACTLY what I thought. So...this means that anytime I take a package in to be shipped, some snot nosed teenager can say they're "suspicious " of my package and open it??? I have a serious problem with that!  (Oct 22, 2010 | post #10)

These wonderful people are offering an icon of a beach spot to the county for free and people STILL have to complain!! This is a wonderful gesture and my hat is off to them. I don't blame them for wanting to give it up. The liability of owning that beach would be huge I would think.  (Oct 21, 2010 | post #16)
