Prius hits 'one million' mark in sales

I love picking hybrids out of the tires on my diesel duallie pickup truck. Last time I saw a hybrid get hit by a tractor trailer, they didn't need a tow truck, they just mailed it back in an envelope.  (1 hr ago | post #2)

Go back to where ever you came from. None of my successful friends went to college. It's a complete waste of four years. The education establishment has BSed the population into thinking that without their product, your life is a total waste. Professors are pepole who aren't smart enough to do anything contructive, so they end up teaching. I do my own finance, my own marketing, and while I'm forced by law to use lawyers, I tell them what to do and how to do it. All lawyers are overpaid paper pushers, and just like teachers, they're not smart enough to have a real job. The situation at Weslyan proves what colleges are good for. Drinking, drugs, sex, and mayhem  (1 hr ago | post #48)

Safety concerns inside CT prisons

Leave Erin S alone. She's probably busy doing her weekly conjugal visits, with all the poor, deprived inmates. Maybe she's lobbying the state legislature for mirrors on the ceiling of the conjugal visit room. Don't you know some of these cells only have 300 cable channels, and I heard the jaccuzzi at Somers was broken for three hours last week... That's outrageous. The ACLU is suing because the five star chef who normally prepares dinner for the inmates was out sick, and the warden was only able to find a four star to replace him. These poor inmates shouldn't have to eat 4 star cuisine. In this case, the inmates are literally running the asylum. Thanks to the powers that be,we as a country, are rocketing toward third world status.  (3 hrs ago | post #9)

Putting the brakes on illegal racing

The majority of posters here say build a track. Of course that would make sense. We had one in Colchester, but the busybody neighbors, who moved in knowing there was a track there, managed to get it shut down. Others states have tracks, and don't have the problems CT has on the street. I have a house in upstate NY, and there are sevral tracks within driving distance. Unfortunately, CT has an overpoplulation of greedy lawyers, and wacko enviromentalists who are opposed to any kind of fun. I highly doubt that a new track in CT could be built, do to the ridiculous enviromental hurdles, and an out of control state government. CT is a no fun allowed state.  (3 hrs ago | post #29)

Let's see here, I dropped out of high school, I've never been arrested, I never really drank alcohol, never did drugs, and now I run a successful business. What exactly is the point of college?????  (3 hrs ago | post #12)

Taxpayers don't have to fund it. Public schools are a dismal failure and a complete waste of money. Privatize it. And stop telling parents not to spank their kids. All of our problems have been caused by liberal ideas. Liberals are about as American as dog cr@p pie  (22 hrs ago | post #76)

Gas for a buck

I fill up at that station often, because his price of diesel is considerable cheaper any other station around. My first thought when I heard about the promotion mirrors many of the responses here. You couldn't pay me enough to wait in line to save 50 or 100 bucks  (Wednesday | post #31)
