It's so sweet bigotry has chewed it's own foot off. Now with a black man running for president they can barely contain themselves but to do so outright would reveal what we have been saying since the Civil Rights Movement that racism is still alive. Now racism is desperate to stay alive because it has been able to thrive through decades of perpetuated stereotypes and preconceived notions about blacks. Our nation will have it's first black president and with it die those stereotypes as many of them already have. What are we going to say blacks are lazy, living on welfare? Can't anymore because the president is black. We can't perpetuate those stereotypes and because racist haven't updated their repertoire of meanderings against african americans they are unprepared. Unprepared to compete against people who haven't benefited from the privilege that comes with bias and injustice. Your cousins desire to stay the way they are is not some genetic attribute. PEOPLE of all races make this decision everyday. There are hispanics that risk their lives to come to america for a beter opportunity while others choose to simply be poor. There are people all over the country who have the means and opportunity to move to thriving cities where there are better jobs and don't. Your parents aren't special because they wanted to live in a black neighbrhood. The point I am making to you is that there is no denying the deliberate social actions that have contributed greatly to the conditions that have existed in those neighborhoods for decades. I must agree, Jesus was not sent by God to represent the poor. He was not a representative of any group in particular he was an advocate of righteousness not civil liberties or social welfare reform. While there is a vast number of poor people who need someone to represent not all are deserving. There are some poor who resort to things like stealing, robbing and selling drugs to survive and still even others who leave their country and enter other countries illegally. It was in fact JESUS who said it best, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for they shall inherit the earth. What he meant of course was not that ALL poor people will inherit the earth but those who internally manifest the characteristics often found in one who is poor like humility, patience and gratitude to name a few. Barrack Obama is not Jesus and the poor don't necessarily need Jesus wipe away all their wores, they simply need someone who is poor "in spirit". (Sep 11, 2008 | post #28)

You're funny and stupid. Asians are smart, Blacks are are good at sports, Jews are rich, Middle-Easterners are terrorist, Mexicans are all illegal aliens. whites are superior, etc;. Those aren't acknowledgments they're stereotypes. I've worked alongside people of every race, africans, indians, asians, whites, etc;. I've never met any that were predominantly superior in any way. I knew an Indian gentleman who was a network engineer who didn't know his left from his right and had to hold a pencil in his hand to tell them apart. If whites were superior they wouldn't have to bomb other countries to gain advantage they could simply use their superior intellect. Brute force is a sign of ingnorance and often associated with the barbarism and uncivilized behavior. You buy into stereotypes because you need the compliment that it pays your race to be true for the sake of your own ego. Guess what it doesn't work even with a broad stereotype paying you the compliment of superiority your lack intellect shines through in your comments. Your inability to reason and think objectively is apparent in your posts. The strengths and weaknesses of any race are all relative, there are no defining human characteristics that grants one race an advantage over another. Secondly, intelligence is a very broad term that describes a wide range of behavior and abilities. Albert Einstein could be considered to be intelligent but only academically. It's takes intelligence to grow tomatoes, to catch a fish and your favorite to run a touchdown or shoot a freethrow. Show me the race of people that is predominantly intelligent in ALL areas of intelligence and we can have a discussion otherwise you're wasting your time trying to imply that white people are more intelligent than blacks.
