I now declare beards to be ALRIGHT AND BUSINESSLIKE in th...

Since the JWs care so much about what the "world" thinks about them I have done you a favor and declared beards to be ok. I know that beards are OK in select countries and a sin in others, but I am only an American so I can only OK beards in this country. Please present yourself to the next meeting with a beard and listen to the elder's arguments as to why its not OK and see if they can explain from the bible why its not, since I have just told you it is business approved. I am part of a major S&P 100 corporation and LITERALLY all of our VPs and Executives sport a magnificent beard. So where's the sin, What-tower?  (Oct 5, 2014 | post #1)

Go drink a cow's or your momma's titty milk and beg to your elder geezers to be disfellowshipped for taking in those evil, evil white blood cells. You are so far gone, its not even funny,  (Aug 26, 2014 | post #138)

None of this matters. Transfusing blood is not the same as eating it, no matter how much you rant and rave. "If the starvation is of the nutrient iron, then certainly red blood cells would provide that nutrient for such a starving patient. " This is stupid and irrelevant. This is virtually the same as as saying "if the starvation is of oxygen." You are equivocating as a fallacy. What you need to get through your thick head and erase years of wasted debate: will transfusing blood create the same situation as someone swallowing it into their stomach? The answer is: NO. So to whatever rebuttal you have: NO. Just NO.  (Aug 22, 2014 | post #53)

How is this forum doing!??!

Its been a few months, I used to watch this place but it got...well, a little TOO crazy for me. What's its current state? Are there still insane trolls going after each other and trying to reveal their personal information? JW apologists still struggling with White Blood cell fractions being "not for Christians" yet being present in human breast milk and in cow's milk? With WWI starting in July and not October+ like the Watchtower claims? Just checking in with my fellow peeps.  (Jun 15, 2013 | post #1)

1 simple question 4 JW's?

Just one thing...remember, JWs say Satan came down in October 1914. World War I began July...and the events leading up to it started even earlier. "Satan" didn't do a single thing.  (Jan 28, 2013 | post #36)

How many people on here are window cleaners?

We had one semi-successful person in our congregation...he basically duped his aging father into handing over his business to him and he nearly ran it into the ground having 0 management or business savvy (you'd think being a "shepherd " gave you some abilities in this regard...). The rest were window washers, one couple of office janitors, pool cleaners and one elder who worked crappy jobs his whole life while mooching off their parent's pension. But of course, Jah provides. Never mind half these people never had children because they could never afford it in their lives. Don't worry potential children of these couples, they wouldn't even afford to buy you those cool castle beds anyway.  (Jan 25, 2013 | post #9)

**JAN. WATCHTOWER "ADMITS" being wrong, my angry rebuttal!

Its still not the same. I will grant your assessment about Peter, I did not read into it correctly. However, if anything your argument shows how this is even LESS applicable than the GB is trying to make. Its simple a) Peter made this error on his own and was corrected b) none of the errors of the Governing Body have been by individual GB members, but rather the entire GB as a unit. And who corrects the GB members but the GB members themselves? Its not even the same even granting your take on the issue. And what are you responses to the other issues the WT has with their misused scriptures?  (Jan 20, 2013 | post #50)

Dude, those were the DISCIPLES that had wrong expectations. You're making the same mistake I just rebuked in this topic. Stop putting the disciples mistakes on the same level as the "governing body's" mistakes. One is considered sheep and to be led, one puts itself as the final authority on doctrine. And with peter, wtf are you even talking about? It was talking about Peter's reticence to sit with Jews, not some sort of doctrinal error on his part. As for Peter teaching false ideas. Can you tell me what False Ideas the governing body has and is currently teaching? If you can easily say those were the false ideas of a leader of the Christian congregation, tell me what are the false ideas the GB is partaking of now? WHAT IS WRONG WITH JW'S AND THEIR INABILITY TO READ THE BIBLE?!  (Jan 19, 2013 | post #44)

666: What does 666 mean?

It is widely accepted by many scholars that Roman Emperor Nero (ruling 54-68) is the first Beast of Revelation 13. This interpretation was received by enumerating his name and title Neron Caesar to the Number of the Beast. An Aramaic scroll from Murabba'at, dated to "the second year of Emperor Nero", refers to him by his name and title where in Hebrew it is Nron Qsr (pronounced "Ner&#333 ;n Kaisar"), and in Latin it is Nro Qsr (pronounced "Ner&#333 ; Kaisar") Nron Qsr The Greek version of the name and title transliterates into Hebrew as נ&#1 512;ו ן ק&#1 505;ר, and yields a numerical value of 666 Nro Qsr The Latin version of the name drops the second Nun (נ), so that it appears as Nro and transliterates into Hebrew as נ&#1 512;ו ק&#1 505;ר, yielding 616  (Jan 15, 2013 | post #32)

Blood Asked Back By God & Thus Sacred

Luke 14:5 Then he asked them, "If one of you has a son or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull him out?"  (Jan 15, 2013 | post #143)

666: What does 666 mean?

666 refers to Emperor Nero's Greek title transliterated from Hebrew. JWs have no idea that some manuscripts have 616 which also coincides with Empero Nero's Latin title. Revelation was simply an apocalyptic book about Roman persecution towards the Christians.  (Jan 14, 2013 | post #25)

Continued: >Because we take seriously Jesus’ words: “Keep looking, keep awake.” The alternative, to be found “sleeping” by Jesus, would prevent us from gaining his favor. Implying that setting dates is proof or necessary show that you're awake. Quite the opposite, if my reading of scripture is correct, proof that you're awake is that you're willing to be a disciple without caring about any dates. Setting dates if anything is proof that you're tiring out and expecting your work to be done. >Consider this example: A lookout in a fire tower might see what he thinks is a wisp of smoke on the horizon and sound what proves to be a false alarm. Later, though, his alertness could save lives. Huh? Have they ever heard of the "boy who cried wolf"? This comparison doesn't even apply. A lookout isn't just hired for his alertness, he's also hired because he is competent and has common sense. If a watchman sees a wisp of smoke, what do they do? They do the sensical thing, they send a scout and alert someone of exactly of what they saw - nothing else. The look out does not say "OH MY GOD THERE'S A WISP OF SMOKE SEND OUT THE ARMIES AND SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING" that would be idiotic. No, the response is always proportional to the observation. So was, say, 1975 a "wisp of smoke" as they claim? Or did the Watchtower not say "OH MY GOD 1975 IS COMING SELL YOUR HOUSES AND HOLD OFF ON YOUR CAREERS AND CHILDREN FORGET ABOUT HIGHER EDUCATION BECAUSE THE END WILL SURELY COME BEFORE THEN"? >But we are more concerned with obeying Jesus and saving lives than with avoiding criticism. Its not about criticism. Its what the criticism is ABOUT - the damage false predictions cause, the continual deterring of bright children's education and social progress, they're all symptoms of a bigger problem that you do not have the claims of legitimacy and supernatural guidance that you say you do. Maybe if you listened to that instead of whining that you're being criticized.  (Jan 14, 2013 | post #2)
