Re-electing Southaven Elected Officials

No policies were in place. When some of the new people came into office in 2009, the status quo did go on for a while. Eventually, people started to ask questions and were not getting answers other than "that's the way it has always been". The whistle blowers did not know whom to trust with the info because of the Mayor's influence and eventually decided to ask Chief Long whom they could contact in the State Attorney General's Office, which has led to the State Auditor, MBI, FBI, and IRS all forming their own investigations. Unfortunately, these things take time. Way too much time, but if it leads to Justice, then it will have been worth the wait. My first statement was that New Brooms May Sweep Clean. Sometimes a one-term politician can be the best thing that a government could ask for.  (Apr 17, 2013 | post #5)
