Omaha Beef President Cited For Animal Cruelty

Now I understand a little more of what you meant. And you are right. I remember my dad telling me as a young girl that the day would come when human life held no value. Makes me think of a piece of property out here in Lynden Wa. It is a field of little crosses the represent the number of lives taken by abortion in a certian time frame (not sure) but there are to many to count. After awhile it offended someone and was moved from the edge of town where all could see, I found that interesting in itself.  (Aug 26, 2009 | post #5)

Actually, I don't see the connection. I think it is the human factor. We r more barbaric each day. Life of any kind has less meaning, there is just no respect for life any longer. Yes, the fact that they kill a fetus in the womb is above all an example of just how little we value life. I hate suffering and torture of anykind, human and animal.  (Aug 25, 2009 | post #2)

Crab traps being stolen in front of the Breakers

I have never been crabbing, but I would imagine there is some cost to having the traps stolen. It is just to bad that it has to be this way. It will probably get worse as time goes on. It will probably change the way people do crabbing. A shame.  (Aug 24, 2009 | post #4)

I'm sorry to read of your experience. We have a new movement of people here, so many people compared to just a year ago, things just cant be what they used to I guess. Sad, but they are here and they brought their kids.  (Aug 23, 2009 | post #2)

Film focuses on racism in America

But someday you'll realize how wonderful it was to be a kid. Amen to that!  (Aug 22, 2009 | post #24)

Film focuses on racism in America

Well, this is a pretty good debate here. I just read another forum about another gang shooting where a PG girl got shot in a driveby. Within two post it became about race. This was Indian vs Mexican. The whole point of the shooting was lost. We shoud just all be thankful that we live in a country where we can love God if we want to. Where we have food for the most part on our tables, where we can get in our car and drive across this great country of ours. But people act like spoiled children playing "king of the hill" People are still crying about the woes of their ancestors, while they have a full belly and a remote control in there hand. Suffering to us is not being able to make the car payment. It's truely hopeless isnt it?  (Aug 21, 2009 | post #21)

I have always wondered about the "melting pot"...I'm thinking maybe at one time, for a short time. But actually all species will go to their own. I think we are behind in the area of schooling, it is because of the flood of imigrants into our school systems. Legal and Illegal. Education has not been at the top to the list for this country for a very long time. It is easier to control the uneducated. I am so tired of the race thing fueled by the media and hollywood. Who gives a crap what color you are get a job, get educated and contribute to this country, whine asses!  (Aug 18, 2009 | post #8)

Mr.Obama is Destroying America

Yes, and we dont have very many patriots any longer either, no one knows history, we have been so dummied down. LOL and yes boys pulled there pants up and had respect.mostly because they got their ass paddled by their fathers back in the day when most did have fathers....thus the result of the "do your own thing generation" Soon they will just put us asleep instead of paying for us when we can no longer contribute to society, and the cost to keep us alive after a certian age will dictate that. Here in wa we just passed the law to give us the right to take our own life. Guess that will keep the cost down in the long run. Our forefathers that shed their blood for our freedom would not even reconize our country. If they closed the damn borders that would be a good start but we all know that isnt going to happen as we move into our new one world government.  (Aug 1, 2009 | post #204)

Mr.Obama is Destroying America

I just liked it the way that it was in the 70's that was a properous time in my life. Now, I can feel it slipping away. Back then I went to school to work in a nontraditional work environment, health insurance came with every job as did some security. Affirmative Action worked for me because I was a female machinist, thus I was their token woman.....but, things seem to be so out of balance it is hard to comprehend. Employers really do treat you like there is 100 people standing outside waiting for your job, at least that has been my experience. Longing for the good ole days in the pacific northwest.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #202)
