Didn't they get engaged in JULY? Why did they plan the wedding in just two weeks? Didn't they think they were actually going to get married? What the hell, people? Who throws together a slip-shod wedding in two weeks? I don't have a lot of money, but back in 2000 when my daughter called me on May 4th and said "Mom, we set a wedding date. July 1st. Work with it." I went right to work (after I finished screaming at her and telling her how impossible she was being) and in the end my daughter had a beautiful wedding. Granted, I had 7 weeks and not just 2 or 3, but still...Elliott has money and resources above what I had. And they KNEW they were engaged -- why did they wait till the last possible moment to set a date and plan a wedding? I guess I missed something here? (Feb 6, 2009 | post #28)

OMG, that was so retarded. Oops. That was politically incorrect, wasn't it? Now THIS: http://www.youtube .com/watch?v=OPmYb P0F4Zw is a GREAT wedding dance! (Feb 5, 2009 | post #19)

Well, there's no doubt those guys pass their sloppy seconds around. That rumor about Jr and Emily wouldn't have started if Emily wouldn't hop from driver to driver. I understand that her family has been in NASCAR her entire life, but it's just so UNcool for her to be dating one driver after another. It's trashy and makes her look whorish. And she's not the only one out there who lets herself get used like that. I'm old school. I remember drivers who slugged it out (literally) on the track. I can't stand all this pretty boy stuff, and these "Young Guns" are nothing more than glorified male models in fire suits. When NASCAR goes back to the days of chrome horns, beating and banging and letting NASCAR drivers be MEN (not politically correct "gentlemen "), they'll win back their true fan base. Until then, they'll be stuck with conceited, narcissistic, drunken little party boys and their snarky little Barbie doll wives/girlfriends. It's what the governing body wants right now. As long as the fans keep buying it, they'll keep selling it. We can b!tch all we want, but as long as we keep watching and opening our wallets, nothing's gonna change. (Jan 25, 2009 | post #40)

Maybe Elliott Should Talk to Tony Stewart

What the hell are you talking about? All anyone said is that Tony Stewart did an interview and said that he knew the pitfalls of having to juggle photo shoots, public appearances, filming commercials and doing interviews while handling the fan base, testing and in-car race duties. Nobody said they want to sleep with Tony or anything. No one said he was perfect. We said he dealt with all the different aspects of being a public figure better than Elliott did, and that he respects his fans, that's all. I think you're just looking for a fight here. (Jan 24, 2009 | post #8)

And what's your point? Did you come here just to start crap? Your catty comment has nothing to do with Tony standing up for his fans and knowing how to deal with them nicely. You sound jealous that he's never paid you any attention. That seems odd, given your sign-in name... (Jan 24, 2009 | post #6)

sadlerfan -- thank you! I thought it was the Brickyard but I wasn't sure. Tony's got the desire to win, even when he's going through a slump. He just never gives up on himself and he appreciates the fans who stand up and cheer for him. Elliott and a number of others should follow Tony's example. (Jan 24, 2009 | post #4)

I know you all don't like her, but I think Amanda looks just beautiful. E looks a rumpled mess, even in the picture where they're entering the room together. The sneakers aren't the only problem for me. My husband wore sneakers at our reception -- he couldn't wait to change his shoes after the wedding. Elliott's tie is all wrong. He looks like a Gomer. Everything about him seems out of kilter and messy. And, it goes without saying that he looks like he's got a good load on right out of the gate. (Jan 24, 2009 | post #173)

cak--I think the way she's wearing her veil is fine. That's the way I've seen a lot of brides wearing them lately. In fact, I think that's how my youngest daughter wore hers, but I don't remember for sure (it's one of those Freudian things...) (Jan 24, 2009 | post #170)

I have a feeling all those young boys are arrogant, womanizing, head-game playing azzholes. A few years back there was a show on Speed(?) called NASCAR 360. Jr was featured one season. He would send his "manager " to chase after pretty girls in the autograph line and get their phone numbers for him. He'd cozy up and fly them to his races for a few weeks where those lucky girls would get to stand in the background and watch him run the same game on other pretty girls in the autograph line. Thanks, but no thanks.

And what's with all the "Race Rats"? Have you ever noticed how many of these girls let themselves get passed from driver to driver? This one is dating (sleeping with) Junior one week, and a month later she's with Kasey, and two weeks later she's photographed with Clint, and a month after that she's at a banquet with Jamie... . PLEASE, girlfriend. Have some self-respect!! Who wants to get serious with a walking STD? These guys may SLEEP with you and play with you for a while, but they're not going to marry you. You're acting like a wh0re...and you know the old saying: "You can't turn a wh0re into a housewife"!!! (Jan 24, 2009 | post #26)

Who is Amanda talking to in the first picture? That's a nice pic of Dale Jarrett too. I really didn't care for E's "tux". Eeeesh. What the heck was he wearing, and did he get dressed in the dark? http://savageshoot ers.com/SavageForu m/index.php?topic= 20302.0 (Jan 24, 2009 | post #167)

I love Tony. He's never been all sugar-and-spice to the media people...remember the incident when he threw the recorder under a car? But he's always been there for his fans. I don't remember what race he won back in 2007, but after the race he was drinking his Coke and he told the TV interviewer "This one's for all the fans who've put up with the media bullshit for far too long." He was talking about the reporters and columnists who kept saying his winning days were over, and he knew he was going to be fined when he said it -- that little smirk gave him away. He didn't care. He was sick of his fans taking crap and he was sticking up for them. Elliott, you listening? (Jan 24, 2009 | post #2)

Any NASCAR wife who is an important part of the team is exempt from the public service duties that are mandatory at each race. The ones who are only there as eye candy will be assigned to civil service. As for the cooking, I have this fantasy of Gordon Ramsey running the soup kitchens OMG, could you just picture that? "Move your AHSS, you stupid cow!!! Oh...f**k me!!!!" But in reality, the wives would be cooks under the direction of REAL cooks who would help them with what they need to do. My bet is that most of them are good cooks and that only about 1% of them are divas. I know quite a number of the wives already do a lot of charity work. Some do volunteer work at hospitals, others at the Victory Junction Camp. A group of them raise money and do work for animal rescue -- there's a bunch of different organizations that benefit from the generosity and effort the guys and their wives/girlfriends give. It's just a shame that all of them can't. No one is above helping another. And you never know when you might be the one that needs help -- sometimes it just strikes out of the blue. Maybe little Miss Amanda needs a little strike out of the blue to knock her back down to earth? I tell my diva princess daughter this all the time. She just rolls her eyes at me and tells me "This isn't the 70's anymore, Hippie". When her lazy unemployed ass calls me for a loan or asks me to babysit for free so she can go out drinking, the answer is NO...if you won't help others, others won't help you. I've been telling her that for 16 years now, and it still hasn't sunk in. I guess some heads are harder than others? She's such a polar opposite of her older sisters. (Jan 23, 2009 | post #48)

Mikeyfan--I've given it a little more thought about handling "HER". Here's what you do with someone like that. You make them feel important. You stroke their ego. Give them little things and make them seem utterly important. Set them up as judges in beauty contests or -- better yet -- send them to luncheons with other uppity princesses who are just like them. Let them eat each other alive. Make up activities for them that will keep them away from the fans. Keep them in an air conditioned booth somewhere away from the track -- invent a fashion show for NASCAR wives with all proceeds going to charity and tell her she's one of the most requested models. Who cares if it's a lie? Let those high-strung fashion designers deal with her shit for an afternoon and see who comes out the winner. It might be interesting! Organize a NASCAR wives' dinner -- at a homeless shelter! Send in the wives to cook for the homeless and serve the food, too. Oh yeah. I have a LOT of ideas for teaching the little princess some humility. I've been toying with these ideas for years because I have a little princess of my own. Oh don't get me started... I've planted my foot in her ass so many times it's a miracle she doesn't shit shoelaces! (Jan 22, 2009 | post #45)

UM...I have three daughters and the youngest is a cookie cutter of Amanda. Come to think of it, she was born the same year! My daughter is such a pushy, self-centered, narcissistic pain in the ass that I have learned to keep my distance whenever necessary. When we do have to be together, I smile a lot, offer to help other people a lot, and generally tune her out while acting like I'm listening intently. Think E's got an opening on his payroll? I might be interested in a career change... (Jan 22, 2009 | post #42)

UMMMM...this sounds like a death notice. "We regret to inform you Mr or Mrs..." Shouldn't it say "Please be informed that, to our knowledge, NEITHER Mr NOR Mrs" Sadler has a Myspace page at this time, although they may have had such networking pages in the past. If, however, either of them does have a Myspace page, please be assured that the page is set to private. Therefore, any Myspace pages in either Mr. or Mrs. Sadler's name which are set for public viewing are imposters, and should be reported to the Myspace authorities". (Or something like that)...? Maybe E should hire me as his publicist? (Jan 22, 2009 | post #39)
