B-52s, Joan Jett coming to Musikfest

I was big into the fisrt Interpol album but have lost interest recently. There was an album that had elephants on it which I played at WDIY and it was ok, but nobody else there seemed to get behind it. Therefore, the cd disappeared into the abyss and was forgotten. Im willing to revisit Interpol and would wholeheartedly be in favor of them making a Musikfest appearance. Turn On The Bright Lights is one of the best albums of the 2000s. AC Newman, who just released his second solo album also would be a great choice. I could see him playing the Zoellner Arts Center. Citizen Cope played Zoellner last year and that show exceeded expectations. He should come back too. There's so much great new music out there that can be heard on WDIY 88.1 ALlentown Bethlehem, 92.7 Macungie/Trexlerto wn, and 93.9 Easton/Phillispbur g. Stop listening to garden variety commercial radio!  (Feb 13, 2009 | post #27)

B-52s, Joan Jett coming to Musikfest

The Manchester sound has come and gone. The Smiths are done, but Morrissey is still around. I would wholeheartedly love it if he played Musikfest. He has a new album out. Oasis blows! Bush as well. Jesus Jones had 1 good song and that was it.  (Feb 13, 2009 | post #25)

Nirvana vs. Radiohead

Best album from the 90's is Automatic For The People by REM. End of discussion. No debate accepted by yours truly. Aside from their excessive Liberalism the greatest band in American Music history.  (Feb 7, 2009 | post #143)

The Morning Call

Down-and-out New York Republicans talk up Rudy Giuliani f...

Rudy is another phony Republican just like Arlen Specter. There is no true Republican Party! More so here in the Northeast than other regions of the country. Hush Bimbo, Sean Vanity, The Leprochon, ect They're all jokes. Only Savage tells it like it! You're on the Savage Nation!!!! Whooooooooo!!!! weeknights 10 to 1 am on WAEB. Unless WAEB has those lousy Penn State or Nascar events on which always annoys me.  (Feb 7, 2009 | post #3)

'Conservatism is a fading trend'

We have become a Socialist Nation and this is the fault of both parties. The true Republican Party is dead! Ron Paul and a few others are the only ones left. Barry Goldwater continues to turn over in his grave!  (Feb 7, 2009 | post #148)

The Morning Call

R.I.P. Jim Wilson

Western PA native and All American College Football player who had a bad experience in the world of Professional Wrestling passed away yesterday as a result of Cancer at the age of 67. Wilson had always maintained that a sexual advance by the late Homosexual promoter Jim Barnette hindered his success in Wrestling and got him blackballed from major wrestling organizations. Wilson took legal action against Barnette and the National Wrestling Alliance in addition to running opposition groups. This is all detailed in the very revealing expose book, Chokehold, which is a must have for all wrestling fans. He also along with ex wrestler Eddie Mansfield appeared on the infamous 20/20 feature by John Stossel that resulted in Stossel getting physically assaulted by wrestler David Schultz in the closing segment. People in the industry have always had mixed reactions about Jim Wilson and some state that his lack of success was more due to his lack of in ring talent rather than any foul play on the part of Jim Barnette or anyone else. That being said, a majority of old timers have softened up on Jim Wilson and extend their condolences to friends and family.  (Feb 7, 2009 | post #1)

Lehigh Valley spots to watch Obama's inauguration

His window has closed. He will be too old in 2012. We have to hope for a younger person influenced by Paul to step forward. Im confident this will happen.  (Jan 20, 2009 | post #26)

Bethlehem Person Sought Who Shot Man In The Back

My old neighborhood. There were always problems here, but now its obviously worse. Overall the SOuthside is still not bad. Do not do drugs or sell them and you will be fine. This applies to any area.  (Jan 19, 2009 | post #10)

Cardinals' Fitgerald dominates Eagles in NFC Championship...

Im not surprised this happened and was very cautious prior to the game. I thought people were too overconfident. My tenuousness was correct.  (Jan 19, 2009 | post #12)

The Morning Call

Lehigh Valley spots to watch Obama's inauguration

Nothing to do with race. It's about ideology and philosophy. Both parties are screwed up. The so called Republicans are soft Socialist and the Democrats and this administration in particular are hard Socialist. The true Americans supported Ron Paul.  (Jan 19, 2009 | post #13)

Phillies give Hamels three-year deal

I thin ownership probably could have paid him more, but they need some extra cash when they go through the latest, upcoming Howard arbitration fiasco.  (Jan 18, 2009 | post #9)

'Mall Cop's' big funnyman brings only lightweight fare

I have no interest in these types of films. The 19th st Theatre has good movies. On cable Sundance and IFC are good channels to watch. You also can drive to Philadelphia to see movies at the Bortz in the Old City area. Otherwise these Hollywood movies are garbage!  (Jan 16, 2009 | post #2)
