Blaming Israel for carnage

Any man who can keep it in his pants for Christ is showing a level of devotion that deserves merit. I do also wonder what the Church is going to do after it's booted all the gay priests and discovers it still has it's share of pedophilia who doesn't significantly map to sexual orientation. Then these are things for the church to work out and not me.  (Mar 14, 2010 | post #62979)

Unfortunately, many bigots use the umbrella term "anti-Zionism " to disguise their hatred for the Jews, which is bad for everybody on both sides. This can be seen on many forums quite obviously by the fact that many self-described "anti-Zionist s" have had their accounts deleted for saying something antiSemitic (and let us not get into semantic debates about nomenclature). Another clue is that most self described anti-Zionists, upon examination, have no idea what the term really means and they will apply the word "Zionism " incorrectly, along with terms like "apartheid " or "genocide ". It seems they are ignorant and simply parrot buzzwords that they hear others using. More succinctly: All anti-Zionists are not all antiSemites, but all antiSemites ARE anti-Zionists, and it's hard to lie among the swine without getting dirty.  (Mar 14, 2010 | post #62976)

The list of names of Christians in control of media and government in America is too long ...easier just to name the Jews. I think you only hear that from the "conspiracy theory" types. I don't think most people believe that. Even of that were true ...the people that own newspapers, television stations, magazines etc ...do in some part control the media. Whether they are Jewish or not does not play into it in my opinion. I also believe people who believe that know nothing about how corporations operate. It doesn't matter what the religion of the CEO is....the CEO is not a dictator and does not impose his own personal ideas on the corporation. He has to answer to a "Board of Directors", who in turn has to answer to the shareholders. So unless the "Board of Directors" and the entire group of shareholders are Jews, this is another of the long list of stereotypes people refuse to let go of because of their own insecurities. About being rich is another ...I love that one! Who are the richest people in the U.S.? Bill Gates, Warren Buffet ... atheists. The Walton family who owns Walmart ...Christian. My family is middle-class, always has been and I personally know very few Jews who are "wealthy ". Another stupid stereotype. Ignorance is rampant and also recalcitrant esp. the internet ....  (Mar 14, 2010 | post #62975)

You should be used to people ignoring everything you say. That's how rational people act when faced with raving loonies like yourself. Time to take your neatly-pressed Waffen-SS uniform out of the closet. I hear there's a meeting of the Hammerskin Nations today. There will be free Twinkies for all! I've tormented you enough for now. My minions from the Illuminati will be watching you. Beware the All-Seeing Eye!  (Mar 14, 2010 | post #62973)

The internet is the best place for hate. This way posters like Bobby and Thayne can vent and leave human beings who are normal alone and exhaust themselves this way. Better then taking a bat and going after what or who it is they want to hurt. I keep telling people the only way to stop these nuts is to tirelessly mock them. Ridicule is their kryptonite.  (Mar 14, 2010 | post #62972)

Land doesn't belong to the people the people belong to the land. I believe the weapons they use to defend it gives them that right. Israel's tactic is not killing innocents, otherwise they would have attacked crowded streets and public gatherings. They do not, they attack militants who unfortunately hide behind civilians. Hamas on the other hand aims at civilian targets. The only occupation I am aware of is the non-Jewish occupation. Torah wants us to be kind to others but killing our people does not make you welcome in Israel! I think we're dealing with a gross oversimplification here. The state of Israel was formed out of a conflict between Jews and Arabs in Palestine, but this conflict was essentially the product of Great Britain's colonial settlement policies. Jews didn't invade Palestine like some sort of conquering army, they were permitted to emigrate there by the colonial power in Palestine. The numbers increased vastly after World War II, which led to growing resentment by Palestinian Arabs, armed conflict between Jews and Arabs and ultimately, to the formation of the state of Israel. There was plenty of killing to go around, on both sides.  (Mar 14, 2010 | post #62962)

It is certainly true that there are individuals who do not follow the teachings of their religion. That is their personal choice, just like many Catholics choose to use birth control and have premarital relations despite their religion's teaching against it. This does not mean that Catholicism permits premarital relations and it does not mean that any and all religion does either. The personal choices of people whether to follow completely their religion does not reflect on what their religion teaches. Similarly, the fact that certain Arabs drink alcohol and frequent prostitutes does not mean that their religion permits it. It means that these individuals choose to defy their religion. The wisdom of each religion has sustained many for thousands of years and perhaps its very success is what has engendered so much jealous hatred. Maybe you need to see the signs of the existance of the Creator around you, you need to feel his love. Well everyone isn't privileged enough to have a religion ...just look at you! ATTENTION ANTI-MUSLIMS Attacking Islam and the Muslims will only increase them in faith and patience. The events of 9/11 is a major attack on Islam and the Muslims. But despite that, 30 thousand Americans converted to Islam. Now what's really amazing is that more, and more people are entering into Islam as a result of false accusations. G-d says in the Holy Qur'an in chapter 8, verse 30- "THEY PLOT AND PLAN, AND G-D TOO PLANS, BUT THE BEST OF PLANNERS IS G-D." We will see who gets the last laugh ...  (Mar 14, 2010 | post #62957)

After five thousand years of Jewish history most have learned the lessons of the pogroms, the Holocaust and, most recently, Arab terrorism. Sadly, there are other Jews who have not learned a damn thing. They are the so-called "human rights" junkies and "peace and justice" activists. The well-being of Israel is the very least of their concerns. What they lack in numbers they more than make up in noise level. Yes, a few of these Self-Hating and/or Israel-Threatening Jews may be well-intentioned but grossly misinformed... call it brainwashed by wave after wave of anti-Israel propaganda. But most of them know the Truth but hate their heritage to such a degree that nothing else matters to them except bashing Israel right out of existence. In an October 22, 2004 Jewish Press Letter to the Editor, Isadore Frank got it 100% right when he wrote, "Unfortunatel y, the vast majority of American Jews... utterly secular, thoroughly liberal, abysmally ignorant of their heritage... are beyond redemption. Not only are large numbers of them unaware or apathetic about the inroads made by "Palestinian " propaganda, many are actually in agreement, at least to some degree, with [those scurrilous] 'Palestinian' claims."  (Mar 14, 2010 | post #62952)

When kneeling before such objects, that is the fartherest thing from any mind. That is when our thoughts, hearts, feelings, etc. are focused the most on our Creator. Those objects just happen to be present as beautiful works of art to admire ...not worship! You admire the "Mona Lisa", don't you??? As we know they can't answer prayers, perform miracles and such, etc ...  (Mar 14, 2010 | post #1987)

Jesus & the Consumption of Pork

Starting with Colossians chapter 1 verse 20, we see that Scripture speaks of these things to humble us. Colossians chapter 1 reminds us that we are not everything in the covenant of G-d. We have a place in that covenant, a very high place as G-d's own children, but we are not everything and must not think we are everything. G-d is so great, so high in glory, that His glory is revealed finally in the ingathering of all things. He must be ALL AND IN ALL. That, then, is first reason for speaking of these things, that by them we may learn humility before G-d. The second is to assure us of G-d's covenant faithfulness. Turning from Colossians back to Jeremiah chapter 33, we learn from that passage that G-d reveals His unchangeable faithfulness in His covenant with creation! Jeremiah tells us that G-d is faithful in His covenant of the day and night. Day and night have come in their turn for thousands of years because G-d is faithful. He keeps His covenant with the day and night so that those ordinances do not cease. Genesis chapter 8 verse 22 tells us the same thing: "While the earth remaineth," G-d said to Noah, "seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night, shall not cease." So, in Jeremiah 33 the prophet says to us, "Do not you see that if God is faithful in such things He will also be faithful to you? As long as we are faithful to Him ...He will be faithful to us. That is one heck of a Covenant.  (Mar 14, 2010 | post #1984)

To some extent, this is unfortunately true, and it would be great to remedy this injustice and help Palestinians enjoy the same blessings of self-determination , freedom, and prosperity that Israelis enjoy; but not at the expense of Israel's existence. Just as nobody can live another person's life for them, no matter how much we parents sometimes want to help our children thereby, so no nation can live another nation's history for them. Palestinians had ample opportunity to create their own state, but they don't seem to muster the interest, will, or drive for that. Nobody can give them an independent state. In 1948, Palestinians could have gotten down to business of forming their own state. Instead, they quietly surrendered to Egyptian, Jordanian, and Syrian occupation. On the other end of modernity, when Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005, Palestinians could have started building a new society there. Instead, they started shooting rockets at Israel. Their history is in their hands, no matter how much you want to blame Jews for it. Your relentless drive to pin all the blame on the Jews simply shows that your real goal is not to help the Palestinians but to attack the Jews. You don't give a flying f*ck about Palestinians, except in-as-much as they provide fodder for attacking Israel -- else you would have taken notice of immeasurably greater injuries to freedom and dignity of peoples occurring throughout the world. In your mind, Palestinians are nothing but a weapon aimed at the Jew's heart.  (Mar 14, 2010 | post #62943)
