These things do happen. But the point was that there are people in real need out there and you agreed with that. People who play the system need to be dealt with. The system should be structured so it's very hard to play it. It also should be structured so that those that are in real need, those it was designed to help, don't have to play the system to survive. Looking at those who play the system, getting disgusted and deciding not to help anyone is not a viable option in my book. (16 hrs ago | post #155)

There are things that are true no matter what others around you think. Christianity is one of those things. You are trying to distinguish who can argue from a Christian perspective and who can't, despite your denial. It's kind of a Prodigal Son type of argument. I am telling you you have a booger, and although you keep denying it, you continue to tout your right to have it. Again, if you would please think about how you can determine that someone is a Progressive who is using Christianity as a TOOL, you might see that you are making decisions only God should. I have been pointing out that there are several different ways of looking at this issue, from many different moral standard backgrounds, and I think all of them would say that America is a country that should make sure its sick don't die or go hungry for lack of ability to pay for health care. I am in no way saying there's only one way to do that. I am offended as a Christian at your deciding who is and isn't worthy to speak as one. Again, it's unChristian. (23 hrs ago | post #134)
